I saw these "things" on the way home and stopped to take a quick shot of them. They wouldnt have been anything out of the ordinary, but the backlighting looked cool and caught my attention.

Backlight

 

Taking backlights here was not easy, because the stones used to build the temple are very dark and the contrast with the setting sun was definitely huge.

 

The trick usually is taking at least 3 photos (one with the correct average exposure, one with the correct exposure for the structures and finally one with the correct exposure for the sun) and merge them together by software.

 

One day I should also tell you about removing the light-orbs, appearing when you take pics backlight... ;-)
