Connor Ulyatt, with the 1221st Engineering Company from Graniteville, S.C., aligns a section of culvert pipe as a team of engineers work to replace a washed out culvert on a Lexington County road in Gilbert, S.C., Oct. 24, 2015. Soldiers with the South Carolina Army National Guard continue to provide direct support for flood recovery and emergency road repairs as a result of the recent floods. The production of articulated backhoe loader started on the early '80 then continued with Komatsu. The 565 model was marketed on the UK with Moxy badge.

On this windy Sunday May 7th 2017 late morning ,we see two Hazzard Range county Public Works Dept Water /Wastewater Division finishing up some emergency sewer line repair , as county sheriff's Deputy Jerry Sparks turn on to WPA cut overlook rd from Copperhead Mine rd .
This Scene take place at WPA cut overlook that is also location of WPA cut Spa . It is name for the cut on NM state rd 168 built by WPA ( Works Progress Administration ) who built the Cut Through Devil's thumb mt from 1936 to 1937. The spa Building was the office for WPA projects in area at the time . The spa is one of two natural hot spring in the county.
Since the closure of the airbase sometime in the sixties, the runway has seemingly been turned into a collosal scrapyard. Decaying vehicles stretch all along the sides of the runway, and there must literally be thousands upon thousands of tons of steel here. Quite a surreal place.

1996. Cambiano colori, sigle del modello, e al nome Fai viene aggiunto il nome Komatsu. Dal 2000 rimarrà solo il marchio Komatsu.

1996. They change colour, model codes, and to the Fai name is added Komatsu. From 2000 there will be only Komatsu brand.

JCB 1400B Backhoe-Loader - New retail development - Kent, WA. JCB equipment is not that common here. Most backhoe-loaders here are Case, Caterpillar, or Deere. JCB is based in the UK.

Dedico questa foto in particolare a Giorgio, persona speciale che ha lavorato per quasi tutta la sua vita prima in Fai e poi in Komatsu.
E' grazie alla sua conoscenza e al rapporto di amicizia che si era instaurato se ho ripreso ad interessarmi in modo molto più approfondito di macchine movimento terra rispetto ad una passione pre adolescenziale.
