This will save you some time...

Decorated for the holidays in Stockton Springs, Maine

This backhoe was moving around the beach digging trenches to show us why Myrtle Beach decided to build that big pipe. As I said, the drainage project is meant to replace 11 storm drain pipes that currently empty onto the beach. These pipes have been here for decades -- Robin remembers playing in the outflow from them when her parents brought her to Myrtle Beach as a child -- but they haven't always drained the way they should. The nor-easter that swept through just ahead of us proved the point by piling a bunch of sand in front of them and clogging everything up, and now the guy in the backhoe had to come through and dig them back open. They probably have to do this all the time. Once they finish their big drain project, they'll be able to sell the backhoe, and that guy will be out of a job.

What does *this* mean? "Alert: Men can be changed into yellow bricks, and vice versa!" "Beware of arrows pushing lines!"

Ha ha what a mess the dogs are going to get when it rains and they go play in their own personal digging field!!

What a big hole it left, 20+ times the size of the exposed stump was!

Eeeks, now what do I do?!

2015 WSS Annual Equipment Rodeo at Long Bridge Park

The city is putting in new sanitary and storm sewers on the major street accessing my neighborhood.

I got a new camera this week and was testing it out while on one of my walks around the neighborhood.

It's a Panasonic DMC-ZS10. It's a nice upgrade from my Panasonic DMC-TZ3.

We went to Pennsylvania to visit my grandfather on Saturday. We took him out to lunch and gave him some photos from recent family gatherings. He's 88 years old and has been living alone for 12 years now. Well he's not so alone since he moved into a senior apartment building a year or so ago. He's loves that there is always someone nearby to shoot the breeze with. But not many of the other residents can keep up with him and he always prefers the rowdier company of younger people.

There was near-record rainfall in our parts the past few days. Flood warnings abound. On Monday the water line on our street sprung a leak I guess. We had a deep, gurgling puddle seperating us from the street. A road crew dug up the area directly in front of our driveway to replace what appeared to be a valve.

I didn't get much sleep Monday night so I burned one of my vacation days and played hooky on Tuesday. I watched a lot of Mr. Show and Match Game episodes.

This MyWeek is my 26th which makes this a half year anniversary. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Fun times at Kidz Fest touch-a-truck!
