Cranbrook is one of my favorite places. A friend of mine lived quite close to the campus and I came here at least 6-7 times over the years but never got lucky with getting a foggy morning when I was there. It's stunning in every season really and I was missing it today for some reason.

Nobody knows what the future holds. People don't realize that they can control their future by just one action in the day. Your decision is key to what the future will be and if it is good or bad. Make the best decision and if anything just wing it.

A beautiful, fluffy Ragdoll cat with light cream and grey point coloration and piercing blue eyes is captured in a close-up shot. Moena (in ladino: Moena) è un comune di 2.628 abitanti della provincia di Trento.

Moena è il più popolato paese della Val di Fassa, in Trentino, ed è sito in una conca tra le Dolomiti. È coronata da spettacolari gruppi dolomitici, quali: Catinaccio, Sassolungo, Monzoni e Latemar.

Sovrasta l'abitato la chiesa di San Vigilio, dal campanile gotico, al suo interno si trovano diverse opere del pittore moenese Valentino Rovisi (23 dicembre 1715 - 12 marzo 1783), della scuola di Tiepola.

Accanto l'antichissima chiesetta di San Volfango (1025) con affreschi del XV secolo e un pregevole soffitto barocco in legno, opera del moenese Giovanni Guadagnini (XVII secolo).

Grazie ai suoi notevoli impianti sciistici ed alla bellezza del paesaggio, l'attività economica del paese è passata, lungo la sua storia più recente (dagli inizi del 1900), dall'agricoltura, al turismo. Nel folklore locale però, si ricordano ancora gli ottimi maiali allevati in questo comune, che danno ai moenesi il soprannome di "porciè" (porcelli), che segue la tradizione delle valli di Fiemme e Fassa di dare un soprannome specifico agli abitanti dei vari paesi. La cultura, le tradizioni e l'amore per la lingua del piccolo centro sono molto forti, e vengono tutelate dall'Istituto Culturale Ladino, che si occupa di conservare al meglio gli usi e costumi di Moena e degli altri sette comuni della Valle di Fassa.

The Journey of the Clocks

I purchased these clocks at a garage sale in Maine in late June 2007 and I first photographed them for this series on July 1st at the base of a cliff. They were on rocks and the incoming tide swirled around them.

But I was never really pleased with those photos because I could not get the camera close enough to the clocks. One of the pleasures and compositional strengths of a wide angle pinhole camera is the fact that you can place objects very close to the pinhole to create some interesting foreground/background relationships. In the photos by the sea the clocks were just a bit too far away.

So, I brought them back home to California (along with the old letters and the ledger) and put them on a shelf in my studio and waited until the muse would speak to me again. In the week of snow we had at the end of January, the muse rang me up and the clocks went for another journey into the forest behind my home. Close to water once again, but this time frozen water in the form of snow. And I finally got the image that I had in my mind's eye when I first worked with them along the rocky Maine coast. Of course, I didn't imagine the snowy setting, but this is the general positioning of the clocks that I was thinking of. The wintry landscape is just an unexpected bonus.

Sometimes, you have to wait for a good photo. Even it is one that you set up, a still life in nature. For this image, I waited 7 months, but it paid off.

All one needed was the Aegean Sea in the background and this would be a perfect Santorini cafe shot.

A book and a cocktail, minimal jewellery and a not so subtle designer rag, couple all that with lots of time and a holiday is divine.

This was shot a few weeks ago as a lifestyle shot for a jewellery brand in India and in this frame the branded ware is muted.

Here at Arriva Buses Wales, Bangor depot from this section as you walk into reception on the left hand side of the picture are a pile of Optare Solos as there all marked as NFS on the front windows. We see 679 CX58 FYY, 683 CX09 BFO and in the background is 687 CX09 BFY. Also on the right through the fences are two recent arrivals from Chester depot are 669 CX57 CYZ and 675 CX58 EUC with VDL Cadet 2551 DK55 FYR been re-transferred back to Chester. Photo was taken during daily exercise. 18/04/20
