I don't talk to flowers, they talk to me and I gladly listen with my eyes!
Shimmering in silky tones I discovered these, a mix if white and pink I had NEVER seen before!
The petals look 'waxy' but feel silky soft!
The peony was originally introduced as medicine.
In fact, its ancient Japanese name "Ebisugusuri" literally means ‘medicine from China’.
However, due to its beautiful and now mostly double blooms, in time, many decorative varieties were developed. In Japanese society, it was seen both as a medicine and a source of beauty.
THANKS for ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated.
Have a wonderful day, filled with love and beauty, M, (*_*)

Dumbarton Municipal Buildings, in the background, were designed by James Thomson of Baird and Thomson, Glasgow. Dumbarton Central Station was designed by James Miller.
"This is an active office building with the Leven Suite and Chamber room being used for marriages and civil partnership ceremonies. James Thomson, architect, 1900. A good example of Scottish Baronial style municipal architecture in red Locharbriggs sandstone. Scottish Jacobean features and some extraordinary stained glass on the stairs and old council chamber. Recently restored / refurbished." Quoted from the Doors Open Days website
I liked this view with the background lights, but for information, it's a 1931 Duesenberg Model J, one of the World's rarest cars, now worth towards £10M.

A case of poor background? Hard to see the 'subject', which is why I did not as I passed close by. Possibly a Red Diamondback? Sharon would know, maybe when she gets back we will know!
These are a gift for one of our nieces and I couldn't resist taking pictures since they are so cute :)

Das Mondtal ist Teil der Atacama in der Nähe von San Pedro. Kegelförmig ragt der Licancabur in den Hintergrund.
Das vegetationslose Gebiet erinnert an die Oberfläche des Mondes, daher der Name.
The Moon Valley is part of the Atacama near San Pedro. Cone-shaped the Licancabur rises in the background.
The vegetationless area resembles the surface of the moon, hence the name.
Originating in the West Indies, Mexico, and Central and South America, the flower is known botanically as Eustoma grandiflorum.
The common name comes from the Greek words lysis, meaning 'dissolution' and anthos, meaning 'flower'.
Colours include white, light and dark pink, lavender and deep purple. Double and single-flower varieties exist.
Many people do not know what it is, but everyone loves it!
For years I 'experimented' in the studio, to get that Flemish painter's light? Well, I was born in Flanders, it must be in my blood? LOL.
THANK you, M, (*_*)

As a wedding should be, but sadly not always is...
I photographed many, big and small.
Always on the look-out for special venues, with some interest, which would make their photos be outstanding and unique.
This was a very young couple, who were wed... at last they sighed, forgetting they had their life ahead of them?
I do NOT take on anymore weddings, too stressful!
Have a day full of laughter, it’s good for you, and thanks for your time, Magda, (*_*)
