Long ago, someone mentioned they liked this background. It was a photo of me. The pattern comes from a colorful bow tie. Today, I cloned that bow tie many times onto a blank white background. It won't be the same as the other one, but it's close.

Portrait session from yesterday evening when he and some other dudes passed by.
His buddy gave him a fresh haircut.
We talked and shot into the morning, which is when I took this portrait of him.

B-socket as main into elinchrom deep octa without front baffle, 11 o'clock and 50 cm away from subject @ f/6.3
A-socket as background light into standard reflector + 30° grid, lying on the floor, directly behind subject aimed up and cam-right. The background's roughly 2m away from him. I metered this light behind his head to be sure I'm not getting too much bounce @ onepointsomething - and therefore negligible,
Since I used a further gridded 80x60cm softbox as rim-light, 2 o'clock and 1.5m away from him, which metered at f/4.5 (something like 1/16th on an SB-26) and separated him more effectively from the background.

i have to say i loved this background it was an old rusty ton...nearly black...but on the pic it got this beautiful colours
