During the natural aging process, these jelly like centers decrease in size from normal wear and tear and create what is called stenosis. Timmy invited me to go along with her and her sister to Castor River Shut Ins, so I got up really early yesterday to drive back from... wherever the hell our hotel room was after the wedding.
The shut ins were really beautiful. Also, treacherous. I managed not to fall in the water and/or break my camera, so that's good. I did, however, hurt my back a bit once I decided to put down the camera and get in the water. Totally worth it, though, for the incredible scenery.
