At the other side of the backcover is also a guiding plate.

This is at the position of the Filmdetect Roller.

The back cover of Getting Through, a 1971 record put out by Zenith to help those living with people who have hearing loss. And presumably to also help sell some Zenith hearing aids.

I reviewed the record and made it available to download at antigravitybunny.bogspot.com

First step in preparing the Iskra for the ruby red window is to remove the leather from the backcover (of course, when you would use a very basic red window, removing the leather is probably not necessary).

I did this by wetting the leather with water. The KMZ factory used a kind of contact glue which is, unfortunatly, not easily dissolved by water. So i did this job very slowly to avoid tearing.

After removal blow the metal bone dry with a hairblower to avoid corrosion.

The blue arrows point to rivets. Because some of these are deteriorated i shall have to replace these.

The second compilation of my favourite record label, Bacillus, published in 1973. It's not as good as the first one because there is one bad song on it (Midnight Circus), but the rest is brilliant, as usual. The front cover is terrible, so I only post the back cover here.
