One of the two strings of GI lamp holders from the backbox. They're all covered in a surface oxidation that powery white, almost like a mould growth. Nothing a few minutes with the mini Dremel can't sort out.

Noticed that there were two matching pairs of slightly different backbox bolts. The very slight difference in thread length and overall length meant that one type wouldn't quite tighten down when used in the rear holes.

Some areas needed filling due to splitting and delamination from the original cutting and drilling. I use trade Polyfilla One Fill - a weird light-weight filler that is easy to work, can smoothed so flat it doesn't have to be sanded and can be overpainted after 15 minutes if not too thick! Tough and doesn't shrink, I've used it indoors and out.
