Peter and Oleg are at Scout's Birthday Party in Australia.

The Fairy Mother had arranged the journey through the Magical Portal.
She has been agreed with Oleg and Peter that they will be brought back home at 12 midnight. So it happened
They say goodbye to everyone...always difficult especially for Peter who also has to leave his princess Rosie behind.
The clock strikes twelve.........Ding dong..ding dong etc.
And then.....
OLEG:
Ouch....Peter!!!!!
You're on top of me...that's not fun.
Where are we actually and where is everyone?
PETER: (looks around)
It's foggy...I see Scout in the fog....he disappears.....
(looks around again)
I think we're back home Oleg.
OLEG:
It's nice to be home, but I already miss Paddy, Daddy and everyone.
PETER:
And I miss my Princess Rosie and my very best friend Scout
We have a nice memory of Scout's birthday.
I so enjoyed playing hide and seek and Jack and the Beanstalk. And that cake was soooo yummy
OLEG:
I also enjoyed it so much Peter. That cake was indeed delicious.
And I had good conversations with Paddy
And Daddy was so nice to us
I will never forget this day.
Thank you Daddy for this wonderful day.
PETER:
I will not forget this day either.
Thank you for everything Daddy
Goodbye my dear Princess Rosie and my very best friend Scout
I love you all!!!!
Bull Elk are large, powerful, and magnificent looking animals. Consequently, this solitary male got a lot of attention from onlookers when it chose to feed adjacent to a Parks Canada visitor parking lot. People generally got out of his way as he was moving, but here he's looking decidedly uncomfortable. It wasn't long before a Park staff member came along and told people to back away.
Apparently, every year Elk injure more people in the park than any other animals - including bears. This is particularly true with females being protective of their young or during the rut. If you are lucky enough see one, keep your distance.
Not satisfied with just lighting up the scene blue, it was time for Phill's amazing drone lighting skills. Gotta go back for the pink version.

The 4 day weekend is almost over and I know I have the full day today left. But I am back home, back putting up the decorations and getting ready to start the work week again. I had a great holiday weekend and I am looking forward to my 9 days off around the Christmas holiday. But until then lets continue on the "fixer up" program

Alley doorway to a State St. business. I like walking Bellingham's alleys, shooting the backs of businesses, which often have more character than the front entrance.
Vivitar 105mm f2.8

This juvenile male Ruby-throated Hummingbird is looking at me like "These are my flowers!". The small red patches on the neck designate this as a juvenile male.

I have passed this scene many times driving between the Ravines Park and Grand River Park but never stopping for a photo. I finally decided early last month to stop along the roadside and get the shot.
I took a series of photos of the back of buildings with store fronts on Water Street in Gardiner, Maine. This is a vertical panorama merge. I applied one of the new adaptive presets, cinema, that are in a recent update of Adobe Lightroom. HFF
