A low-res, flatbed scan of a 6x7 (2 1/4 x 2 3/4 inch) transparency
This old bridge isn't going to get any prettier for a long while with the retrofit work making itself more visible above the deck. So, I am trying to get as many angles as I can photographed at moments that lend themselves to photographs. Sometimes it is the early morning that tells you to make an exposure. This was one such case.

Usui 3rd bridge
碓氷第三橋梁(めがね橋)
Built in 1893, it is a brick bridge with a total length of 91m and a height of 31m. It was once used as a railroad facility that crosses the Usui Pass.

The Newport Transporter Bridge (Welsh: Pont Gludo Casnewydd) is a transporter bridge that crosses the River Usk in Newport, South East Wales. The bridge is the lowest crossing on the River Usk. It is a Grade I listed structure. The transporter bridge is very rare, with only eight remaining in use worldwide.
I didn't quite line this up right and slightly under-exposed it. It was difficult as I kept being asked to take people's pictures, so spent more time with other people's cameras than my own!
Last Sunday we had an unusual weather situation in Düsseldorf. It was very cold and there was thick fog for days. So the Rhine bridge seemed like a bridge to infinity.

The Minto Bridges are a series of truss bridges that span across the Rideau River, connecting Union Street to Green Island and Maple Island in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The bridges were built between 1900 and 1902, and part of a ceremonial route leading from Rideau Hall to Parliament Hill.

Dragons’ bridge was built in the beginning of the 20th century, when Ljubljana was part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. It is one of the best examples of reinforced concrete bridges and of the Vienna Secession style.

This 120 foot long historic bridge is a rare surviving example of a truss bridge in Michigan. Built in 1930, the design is distinguished by its massive steel members and Parker pony truss configuration.
Looking close, you can see the new bridge in the background slightly above and beyond the old bridge. These bridges are located on Highway 65 just downstream from the Five Channels Dam west of Oscoda, Michigan.
