Prambanan temple has three main temples in the primary yard, namely Vishnu, Brahma, and Shiva temples. Those three temples are symbols of Trimurti in Hindu belief. All of them face to the east. Each main temple has accompanying temple facing to the west, namely Nandini for Shiva, Angsa for Brahma, and Garuda for Vishnu. Besides, there are 2 flank temples, 4 kelir temples and 4 corner temples.

Pushkar, one of the five sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Sikhs in Indi has many temples. Most of the temples and ghats in Pushkar are from the 18th century and later, because many temples were destroyed during Muslim conquests in the area. Subsequently, the destroyed temples were rebuilt. The most famous among Pushkar temples is the red spired Brahmā Temple. Brahmā is the creator god in the Hindu religion, its color is red (Since, his dom has been painted in bright red ). It is considered a sacred city by the Hindus particularly in Shaktism, meat and eggs consumption are forbidden in the city.

Brahma Kamal flower has many mythological references. Ganesh's elephant head was fixed with the water of this flower. Mahabharata also mentions about this flower, which Bheem was searching for Draupadi and eventually met lord Hanuman.

On a twilight drive we found this fella and a Longhorn out grazing together. The Brahma cooperated, if only for a minute, while the Longhorn had absolutely no interest in having its picture taken. Well, we'll just see about that.

Interesting and well preserved sculpture of Brahma at Lakshmana temple in Khajuraho. A four-armed, crowned and bearded deity with his attributes. A book in the left upper hand (The Vedas), a water pot (Kamandala) in the lower hand, a rosary (a string of prayer beads called the 'akṣamālā' (literally "garland of eyes"), which He uses to keep track of the Universe's time) in the lower right and a not well identified object in the upper right hand (supposedly it should be a flower). The beard conveys wisdom and the long beard gives the idea that creation is a never-ending process.

Brahma is the creator of the universe and the first god of the Hindu Trinity, the other being Vishnu and Shiva. He is the generator of the mankind.

The skeletal figures in the sides are unique in Khajuraho, I couldn't find its meaning, they are not very sad anyway. A group of celestial musicians (gandharpas) animate the scene at the top.

Though almost all Hindu religious rites involve prayer to Brahmā, very few temples are dedicated to His worship. In this case the sculpture is located in a temple to Vishnu, the most worshiped deity.

Bromo, the depicted volcano, is in Brahma's namesake and has been the focus of the Tengger people who live in the region for over five hundred years. They regularly make pilgrimages to the crater rim (the path to the rim is depicted in the centre of the volcano wall) to make sacrifices, though not as grim as those they would make in past centuries.

Bromo is the most active of five volcanos in the Tengger caldera system, half of which is depicted in this image. Its floor starts at about 2300 metres and rises to approximately 2700 metres, the altitude from which I took this photograph. It stretches about 16 kilometres across.

The Tengger caldera is located in central Java, Indonesia.

..... the Four Faced God is sometimes referred to as the 'Four-Faced Buddha'. However it is actually a depiction of Brahma, the Hindu god of creation, one of the key figures in Hindu mythology

In Hindu scriptures, Brahma is considered the supreme creator, a notch over all other deities. These scriptures date to 4-5,000 years BCE, perhaps even 8-10,000 years. The name Abraham and Sarah are believed to be derivatives of Brahma and his consort, Saraswati.

While the Hindus have temples for a whole pantheon of gods and demigods all over India and in many other countries around the world, there are very few temples for Brahma. Perhaps Brahma is considered beyond comprehensible, although Hindu mythology describes Brahma as four-headed, symbolic of being omniscient.

In fact, there are more Brahma temples outside India than in India, especially in countries like Cambodia, Thailand and Bali.

I was surprised to stumble into this small Brahma temple in Las Vegas, out on the Strip outside Caesars Palace. It is an enclosed area, and except for a tower above, it looks like a very authentic Hindu temple. Brahma is regularly worshipped here – there are fresh garlands of flower and burning incense sticks that suggest frequent visitors.

When I was there, a Thai or Cambodian woman was at the site, bowing down and praying. I didn't think it would be appropriate to take her picture, so I just took a couple of shots of the idol and the pedestal.

Mount Bromo (Indonesian: Gunung Bromo), is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java, Indonesia. At 2,329 metres (7,641 ft) it is not the highest peak of the massif, but is the most well known. The massif area is one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Java, Indonesia. The volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god.

Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a vast plain called the "Sea of Sand" (Javanese: Segara Wedi or Indonesian: Lautan Pasir), a protected nature reserve since 1919. The typical way to visit Mount Bromo is from the nearby mountain village of Cemoro Lawang. From there it is possible to walk to the volcano in about 45 minutes, but it is also possible to take an organised jeep tour, which includes a stop at the viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan (2,770 m or 9,088 ft) (Indonesian: Gunung Penanjakan). The viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan can also be reached on foot in about two hours. From inside the caldera, sulfur is collected by workers.

Brahma Kund, located at Hari ki Pauri, is one of the holiest spots to take bath or holy dip at Haridwar. The popular legend is that Amrit pot attained after churning of ocean spilled at Brahmakund when Devas and Asuras were fight for it. The spot got the name after a king Shwetha did intense Tapas (penance) on the spot and pleased Brahma. As Brahma appeared here, the place got the name Brahma Kund.

It is widely believed that taking a dip or performing holy bath at the Kund will help in cleansing of the sins of all birth. The holy dip here is seen as an important step in attaining Moksha.

Another legend has it that son of King of Bhagiratha, Swetha, impressed all the Devas at the spot with his austerities and they gave him the boon that Brahmakund at Haridwar will be always blessed with the presence of Trimurtis – Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

Numerous temples are located on the banks of Brahma Kund at Hari ki Pauri in Haridwar.
