The ragtag crew of the cargo freighter Boundless.
Once the occupants of shipping containers that the massive ship carried, the effects of passing through a field of gamma radiation took their toll on the minds of the animals.
After weeks of plotting, they sprung their trap, and the Boundless fell into their malicious paws.
Boundless energy. I'd read about the notoriously high energy levels of border collies before getting Barney and he truly showed me the meaning of "energetic"... Barney loves to run, to jump, to swim, to play. He is still flying along even at the end of 4 hour walks, I have to make him walk quietly from time to time so he doesn't overheat in the summer. Our adventures are a whirlwind, with Barney seeming to be everywhere at once - sweeping up and down the hills as though he has no concept of being tired. As most of our walks are in places where it's just too easy to lose a dropped toy (Barney tends to drop them a lot when out!), I rarely take balls with me to play fetch with, however that doesn't mean Barney doesn't get a full workout - he doesn't need toys to want to run!
He creeps along next to me, muscles tensed and flicking eager glances up at my face and hand... waiting, just waiting. The moment I catch his eye and nod, or else flick my hand, Barney's gone, bolting ahead. After a short distance though, he will usually spin around and charge back at me - again watching me intently even as he runs. Using hands signals, whistles and my voice I can ask him to go to the left, right, back to a heel position, run circles around me, stop and lie down, slow down and stalk towards me, or else run straight past me. Barney loves this directed running and so do I as it keeps him focused on me and not stressing about outside distractions such as gunshots. He would happily keep the "game" up for hours if I let him, I expect :)
While Barney loves nothing more than the freedom to run riot, preferably incorporating some chasing games, swimming too, if at all possible, he does have an "off switch". I've met a few BCs who are continuously in motion - outside and inside the house. I think some people assume the natural state of a BC is wound up and hyper - and that they need staggering amounts of exercise if they're not to go mad. Barney gets about an hour's free run each day, more if we can manage it and another 30-40 minutes brisk walking on the lead in the evening. I also play with and train him in the house/garden each day. For him, that's enough - he's quiet in the house unless we humans wind him up and doesn't obsess about toys being thrown etc. He's full of life and loves his freedom but isn't the wild ball of uncontrolled, nervous energy these dogs sometimes have the reputation for being - not all day long anyway!
Hope everyone's having a great week!
Oh yeah... watch this music video :) Funny and promoting rescue animals!

Mama Mei entered Bei Bei's nursery and engaged him in a lengthy play session. It might be tight quarters, but they had a ball! They continued to play outside of the nursery.

The Prophet by Khalil Gibran
And an astronomer said, "Master, what of Time?"
And he answered:
You would measure time the measureless and the immeasurable.
You would adjust your conduct and even direct the course of your spirit according to hours and seasons
.
Of time you would make a stream upon whose bank you would sit and watch its flowing.
Yet the timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness,
And knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream.
And that that which sings and contemplates in you is still dwelling within the bounds of that first moment which scattered the stars into space.
Who among you does not feel that his power to love is boundless?
And yet who does not feel that very love, though boundless, encompassed within the centre of his being, and moving not form love thought to love thought, nor from love deeds to other love deeds?
And is not time even as love is, undivided and paceless?
But if in you thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons,
And let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing.

This is my early morning jogging partner. She has so much energy! This is what she came up with when I asked her to do a (simple) jump next to the puddle this morning after she'd sprinted three miles. Turned out she used to be a gymnast too! Amazing what you find out about people when you don't expect it, eh?

"Sport Hunting” is a sickness, a perversion and a danger, and should be recognized as such!!
People who get their 'amusement' from hunting and killing defenseless animals, can only be suffering from a mental disorder.
In a world with boundless opportunities for amusement, it's detestable that anyone would choose to get thrills from killing others, who ask for nothing from life but the chance to remain alive. ” Sir Roger Moore
HOW is it considered normal to kill for sport?? HOW is it possible that….sport-killing is accepted ?? The first humans were killing in order to survive!! It seems that modern Man sport-kills for fun !! Or, in order to reassure his insecurities, disorders, and various inferiority complexes!!!! For what reason, then , the Psychiatrists exist ?? ---The modern medical healers of the sick human soul and mind??
(****I thank from my heart my super talented photographer and friend , Ian/Mad Cat, who let me copy Sir Roger Moor’s Inspiring text against Sport Hunting!!! Here is Ian’s exceptional Photostream:

"Being Boundless" is a shot taken at Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. The lovely Buddhist Flags attracted me along with the texture of the Sky.
The boundless energy of the sun, swooshing at the speed of light, the speed of life, rushes to us in leaps and bounds, over the light years, in leap years and otherwise, while life rushes by us in a stream of sunrises and sunsets.
By God's Desire and Intelligent Design, or some pure galactic coincidence of which we seek an earthly sign, it is elemental to life. Fusing nearly 600 million tones of the elementary Hydrogen per second, giving life to other elements, like Helium until, like other stars, it's normal fusion cycle will end with Iron, and solar system confusion.
How ironic then, to capture what cannot be touched, to feel it's welcome warmth on my cheek coming from its 5500 Centigrade (~10,000 Fahrenheit) degrees surface, seeing it right in front of me though it is 150 Million kilometers (93 Million miles) away.
Then to hold in my mortal hands, freezing from winter's cold, a heat molded piece of metal and plastic focusing light, through glass once derived from the silica of sand, into the camera's memory on even more finely crafted Silicon. Clicking with the digits of my hand to store it permanently in digital bits and bytes. But, even more, implanting it into human memory until that too, like dying stars in the cosmos and in Hollywood, will fade and disappear, as will the neurons and the bodies housing them. While the sun will shine on, burn on.
But, there are moments in life when, insignificant as we are, we are masters of the universe. Not worshipping the Sun god but being gods of the Sun.
Bounding the boundless sun accurately within the silhouetted bare tree branches, blades of grass and the dry grass over the hill. Doing this and savoring it, before we too are over the hill, lying under the sunny and starry sky, fused into the earth, under the grass, gone, bounded, forever here, though gone forever into the boundless beyond.
Until then, the only thing more boundless than the unbounded sun is our mind, our imagination, our courage, our spirit - that all the gods of Sun and Mars would proudly kneel at our feet to worship.
And, thus it is for us, and in us, to aim high, go far, burn bright and live forever, even when we are gone, past the outer reaches of the cosmos, and the furthest grasps of our understanding.
See you around, and see you on the other side.

This is a polished re-post.
I am compiling some of my poems for some friends and I wanted to include this poem. I polished it up a bit. Editing for me is always a work in progress. I rarely ever read one of my old poems and not want to make some changes in wording to make it read smoother. That's what I did with this one.
Background story: I posted the first picture as just a picture and I experienced such a sense of deja vu that I searched my photos for the second picture. Many years happened between the photos and I decided to express what the photos made me feel - hence the poem. I still make the same faces, lol.
I don't re-post often so forgive me for doing so today. I won't put it in any groups since it's a re-post.
There is a song that I used to love and still do ....
Have a beautiful day!
The Girl in Me
by toogie
Though many years have passed
And I’ve gotten kind of old
There’s a younger girl in me
And she’s growing rather bold.
She’s a know-it-all gal
Who is indestructible.
She laughs too often and too loud
She’s quite insatiable.
I quiet her with calmness
And mature serenity
But to be completely honest
I like the hold she has on me.
She reminds me of the past
Of the girl I used to be
Full of time and optimism
And of boundless energy.
She often opens up my eyes
To the beauty of each day
She helps me feel some sunshine
As I go along my way.
And when I’m sad and hopeless
Tired by the end of day
I close my eyes, she whispers
Tells me I will be okay.
