This boat was coming into harbour after a days fishing! When I packed up to leave after sunset I saw a man cleaning fish on the dockside! He asked me did I get a shot of his boat and if so would I email it to him. Of course, I said I would and as a thank you he kindly gave me half of a beautiful Chinook salmon! How kind!
It was a dreary wet, dark and grey day. Te kind of day one would expect in the grip of winter, not yet.
However, a pair of bright boats bobbing in the harbour saved the day.
A boat in the boatyard at Stibbington. Nice mix of tones, textures and a bit of decay. Grey day but I felt this set of photos worked very well.

A view out over the English Channel from somewhere along the costal path near Portloe in Cornwall (with some sailing boats just visible on the distant horizon).
Happy Floating Bench Monday ... here is the view taken a few moments before the sunlight really brightened the fog (about two minutes). Composed this with the boat to left side versus the right side in the brighter image taken a few minutes after this one.
I think I like the other comp better, as they are facing into the image with more room in the frame versus this one here. But I do like this one where you can see the bird emerging from the fog too.
