A view across the Thames from near Greenwich. The small buildings at the front are luxury apartments whereas the high risers behind are part of Canary Wharf, a financial district.

There are no oysters to harvest. Most of the oyster boats are gone, but this one is being used by a crabber. Late in the afternoon the birds use it for a roost. This image was processed and textured in Photoshop.

Discovered this gem of a place...the boat graveyard on the river Severn...Purton, Gloucestershire...a beautiful place with tidal swirls and old wrecks..
I saw several of these Boat-tailed Grackles at Wakodahatchee Wetlands last April. Such a marvelous iridescence on these birds!
