BLS Re 4/4 number 504 departs from Spiez with the 08:30 Extrazug from Bern to Brig. With all booked local trains to Brig via Kandersteg being EMUs it was a treat to have a local hauled relief train running.

De (naar mijn weten) voor het eerst in Nederland zijnde BLS 186101 is van een grappige bestickering voorzien, waardoor er gelukkig weer wat meer kleur op het Nederlandse spoor komt!
Schaufelraddampfer BLÜMLISALP (Foto aufgenommen in der Bucht von Spiez am 14.08.2016). Die ehrwürdige Lady ist ein nostalgischer Zwei-Deck-Salondampfer aus der Belle Epoque, erbaut von der Firma Escher, Wyss & Cie. in Zürich. 1971 wurde das Dampfschiff BLÜMLISALP ausser Betrieb gesetzt und hätte als letzter Raddampfer auf dem Thunersee verschrottet werden sollen. Die Stiftung "Vaporama" rettete das Schiff vor der Verschrottung und restaurierte es. Seit 1992 wurde der Schaufelraddampfer BLÜMLISALP durch die Stiftung wieder betrieben und jüngst, seit 2012, gelangte die "Blüemlere" zurück zur BLS AG, die den Schiffbetrieb weiterführt.
