I'm late to the party, but I just got back from Yosemite with my friend Joshua Crites.
Great trip all around and spectacular supermoon views and alignment.
I know everyone has seen tons of Blood Moon shots, it was amazing. I got lucky with this single exposure as the full eclipse set into a tree on the granite northern rim of Yosemite National Park.

Am 16.07.2019 gab es um 23:32 Uhr die partielle Mondfinsternis und der Mond wurde zu zwei Drittel vom Erdschatten verdeckt.
Mir ging es aber dieses Mal darum, den Blutmond zu fotografieren. Der Blutmond entsteht, wenn der Zeitpunkt des Mondaufganges und des Sonnenunterganges gleich ist. Durch die Atmosphäre werden nur die langwelligen roten Anteile des Lichtes sichtbar, welches vom Mond durch die Sonne angestrahlt, auf die Erde reflektiert wird. Deshalb erscheint der Mond in himbeerfarbenem rosa Licht. In Horizontnähe wirkt er auch grösser und mächtiger. Die Aufnahme habe ich in Zedtwitz gemacht und unterhalb des Mondes ist das Tanzlokal Fernverkehr sichtbar.
On 16.07.2019 at 23:32 there was the partial lunar eclipse and the moon was covered to two-thirds of the earth's shadow.
But this time it was about photographing the Bloodmoon. The Blood Moon is created when the time of the moonrise and the sunset is the same. Through the atmosphere, only the long-wave red portions of the light are visible, which is illuminated by the moon through the sun, is reflected on the earth. Therefore, the moon appears in raspberry pink light. Close to the horizon, it also looks bigger and more powerful. I took the picture in Zedtwitz and below the moon the dance hall long-distance traffic is visible.
The blood orange is a variety of orange (Citrus × sinensis) [...] with crimson, almost blood-colored flesh.
The distinctive dark flesh color is due to the presence of anthocyanins, a family of polyphenol pigments common to many flowers and fruit, but uncommon in citrus fruits.[1] Chrysanthemin (cyanidin 3-O-glucoside) is the main compound found in red oranges.[2] The flesh develops its characteristic maroon color when the fruit develops with low temperatures during the night.[3] Sometimes, dark coloring is seen on the exterior of the rind, as well, depending on the variety of blood orange. Some blood orange juice may be somewhat tart; other kinds are sweet while retaining the characteristic blood orange taste. The oranges can also be used to create marmalade, and the zest can be used for baking.[16] A popular Sicilian winter salad is made with sliced blood oranges, sliced bulb fennel, and olive oil.[17] The oranges have also been used to create gelato, sorbet, and Italian soda. Here's my shot of the blood moon from tonight, I think it's pretty self explanatory!
It never actually occurred to me that lightning comes in different colours, apparently this bolt on the left is purple due to the amount of water in the atmosphere, the dryer the thunder cloud the more yellow the colour of the lightning. You learn something new every day!

Working with more color today and seriously this looks simple but processing these takes more time than you would think. Not loving the way my reds turned out but no time to keep working on it for today. Also, hard water spots on the color dishes really stand out so lots of cloning out white spots today too. I am fasting this morning so not being able to eat my props after shooting is quite a disappointment.
