The Powderhorn Wilderness in Colorado is found in a rugged, glacier-carved landscape of the northern reaches of the San Juan Mountains. The area consists of large expanses of alpine tundra, spruce forests, and several alpine lakes at nearly 12,000 feet in elevation. Breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains are available in this wilderness. Above 12,000 feet are two high-elevation plateaus that make up the largest relatively flat expanse of alpine tundra in the lower 48 states.

I normally do not go down to the river-side in Glagow when I’m out doing street, but on this occasion I did.
When walking back up from the river-side, I saw this graffiti sprayed onto the wall of this building. It’s always worthwhile to check out areas you don’t frequent often just to see what you may have missed.

Down the street. from the Robert E. Lee Monument on Monument Ave. was the J.E.B. Stewart statue - Stewart was Confederate General who famously known for thwarting the John Brown uprising at Harper's Ferry, WV. That evening I witnessed the protester string up the statue and began to rock it off it's pedestal. However, the police arrive right before the statue was about to topple, disrupting the activity. This was the scene just prior to the police using tear gas.

James Scurlock, a young African-American, was killed in Omaha, NE on May 30, 2020, during protests in regard to George Floyd being murdered at the hands of a policeman in Minneapolis.
Scurlock was shot twice by a bar owner that was well-known to be a racist. After reviewing the video of the incident, the county attorney Don Kleine determined the shooting was done in self-defense. Kleine is now supporting calling a Grand Jury.
The bar owner has been evicted from both his properties in downtown Omaha. It's probably better that way. The guy's reputation is gone anyway, and his businesses, in a high-traffic destination area, will be more of a target for trouble.
