Customized this classic two-weapon ranger by repainting an extra Blackstar figure. The cloak is made out of felt. The orange is a bold and technically inappropriate choice, but it's just so... 1982.
For the most part this figure was inspired by the D&D character I invented as a kid.
The weapons came from the NECA Simon Belmont.
Although I started out strictly as a GI Joe customizer, I eventually branched out into customizing MOTU and MOTU KO figures, essentially creating my own little line. So I decided to do a group shot that I hope has a good "catalog" feel.
Some of these are kitbashed and painted, others are just repainted intact. A few feature felt capes and/or hoods. They were taken from various types of figures, including MOTU, Galaxy Fighters, Muscle Warriors, and Wrestling Champions.
The lead custom is my childhood He-Man figure, repainted and renamed Nanoc as a reference to Conan.
Made by Galoob 1983-85 .
In 1984 they added the chest sparkers. Which are like cigarette lighters. I have both versions of some. But not all.
I loved the cartoon. Trying to display these means the PVC figures take over !

We're here, and we are recreating the album art of David Bowie, or David Bowie if you prefer to pronounce his name that way. A musical hero who lost the pigment in one eye from a punch from his friend who's girl he stole. He kept the friend for life, not the girl!

…anyhow this littul pic was just snapped when I opened a box, all they toys are sold now, I don’t remember where I bought the MLP’s but the jump-starter clone I bought on nachmarky flea market in Vienna and the Blackstar bodybuilder was bought on another market in Vienna!!!

Le dernier vidéoclip de David Bowie pour la chanson Lazarus, diffusé le 7 janvier, montrait le chanteur, le visage à moitié caché sous un bandeau sur un lit d’hôpital. Il avait suscité quelques commentaires de fans qui voyaient là comme une image annonciatrice. Le matin du 11 janvier, le compte Facebook officiel de l’un des artistes les plus réputés du monde de la pop et du rock, dont les approches musicales, le parcours auront été une constante quête de renouvellement, d’expérience et d’attentions à de nombreuses disciplines (théâtre, mime, musique, cinéma, peinture…), a annoncé sa mort, survenue le 10 janvier, à New York, « paisiblement, après une bataille courageuse de dix-huit mois contre le cancer ».
Tony Visconti, producteur historique de Bowie, l'a confirmé : l'album Blackstar, paru quelques jours avant sa mort, est son cadeau d'adieu. En témoigne le clip troublant de la chanson Lazarus. Mais l'artiste ne travaillait pas seulement sur ce disque, mais aussi sur la comédie musicale, intitulée là encore Lazarus, présentée actuellement off-Broadway jusqu'au 19 janvier avec Michael C. Hall dans le rôle principal. Le spectacle est basé sur le roman L'Homme qui venait d'ailleurs,

David Bowie's last video clip for the song Lazarus, spread on January 7th.
The morning of January 11th, the account official Facebook of one of the most renowned artists of the world of the pop and the rock, among which the musical approaches, the route(course) will have been a constant collection(quest) of renewal, experience(experiment) and attentions with numerous disciplines (theater, mime, music, cinema, paint(painting)), announced its death, arisen on January 10th, in New York, " peacefully, after a brave battle of eighteen months against the cancer ".
Tony Visconti, historic producer of Bowie, confirmed it: the album Blackstar, appeared a few days before its death, is its farewell present. The disturbing clip of the song Lazarus shows it. But the artist worked not only on this record(disk), but also on the musical, entitled even there Lazarus, presented at present off-Broadway until January 19th with Michael C. Status Update/ Breaching the third wall Episode no. 2

...so Now when my isolation is about to break I will have to cut the workload here, the schedule running each week has been
* 1 artwork a day 7 out of 7 days a week
* every second day a LEGO Vignette/scene (alternating on space/castle
* Every second day an image mostly photographic alternating between me and something that isn not me!
My planned new schedule will be:
* five artworks a week (skipping Saturday and Sunday )
* 1 Lego picture a week
* 1 other picture a week
* then some bonus picture and stories when I have time to spare...
I do not feel happy about my freedom, that is about working more browsing through every second-hand shop in town again... I have really enjoyed to work with more art than selling, still the isolation has almost completely drained my collection of stuff, basically I have only Memory stuff and lego left...
I wish I could afford to work like I have during the isolation, but still to get back to Vienna I need Money, I have been here in Sweden for a decade soon (or have I already) I miss my home!

The music video for “Blackstar” opens with a dead astronaut on some distant planet. An alien carefully walks up and opens the helmet, revealing a jewel encrusted skull. She takes the skull back to her village where it becomes a sort of religious relic. Later in the video, a headless skeleton drifts into the cosmic abyss.
This is widely suspected to be the final chapter in the story of Major Tom. In an interview with Vice, director Johan Renck was asked directly if this was the case. He gave a very open-ended answer, saying that there was not a "deliberate, underlying, firm quest to have any references to past times", but also that it was "in the eye of the beholder". Characters like the astronaut and Button Eyes started from Bowie's sketches that he and Renck picked through for ideas. Bowie may not have referred to his astronaut sketch as Major Tom outright, and thus Renck did not want to force that name onto the astronaut if Bowie meant for it to be nameless or just implied. It seemed it would be up to you to decide.
However, in the film David Bowie: The Last Five Years, Renck says that the astronaut was "100% Major Tom."

The only one out of order, chronologically. I wanted to frame this series as a loop, beginning and ending with Major Tom, so a slight amount of shifting was in order. For a while this was the largest build in the series, and is a favorite of some who have seen the series in person. Trying to incorporate jewels or other ornamentation to the skull would have made it too messy, so I opted for black only.
