I was pleased that Flickr selected this photo to be featured in their "Explore" site. Every day Flickr choses about 200 photos from the millions posted to be featured in the "Explore" site.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe quickly gained success and, just as quickly, spawned imitators.

Blackstar was one of the better lines, with its own backstory, world building and, very importantly, an animated series.

Action features were also considered crucial to an action figure and so Blackstar et al had flints stuck in their chests with a strike wheel in their backs.

Thus, Blackstar did not bother to bring his Starsword. The two can flick at each other all they like and there'll be no harm done. It was a dubious 'action feature'. For a little boy, Blackstar had your dad's non-functioning Zippo lighter embedded in his torso.

One of my first albums was The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. I never quite quit listening to David Bowie. That he was able to lead a semi-normal life in Manhattan with his wife Iman is gratifying to me. So many of the famous and glamorous get sucked up into their minds, just like Ziggy.
RIP David Jones. Rest in Peace.

A new Cyberpunk car, the Blackstar - CX2.
Inspired by various cyberpunk cars like the one from the game Cyberpunk 2077 .
I didn't want to make it too big, because then all other cars (and possible trucks would have to be even larger) but I did want it to seat two figures.
I made it seven wide like some of the cars of Finn Roberts and the nose with front fenders is a bit inspired by the Cyberpunk Lamborghini made by brickengineeringdude
A black star is a transitional phase that is created when a collapsing star is closing to reach singularity, where the star's influence becomes infinite and space time itself ceases to exist within it. Althought the star at this point has died, it has been transformed into something else altogether and its energy will continue to be released indefinately.
YES, the six freakin' Demons ! I had thought there were only 5 released in the USA. But it is six ! Starting from the left side, that tangerine, hot pink or whatever color Demon. It seems the hardest to find IMO. Hard to say what color it is ? Peoples pics of it vary in color, so not much help there. It is not pink, as one can see the pink one next to it. Not orange as one can see the orange one on the far right.....And not red.
I say more tangerine, then anything !
There are 2 more technically. From Greece. A toy company released Blackstar there. With different colors, of course. A red one and black one. They are too pricey for me !
Why so many colors ???
Well the first series of figures came with only the light green one, as seen in the middle. But the second series, where they added the flint spark light in the center of the chest, came with the five more colors of Demons supposedly.....
Since we are on the subject of these Demons.
Three have red pupils with white sclera . The other three have white pupils with red sclera. Just a fun observation for any of you who are interested . If you have read this far, you likely are :)

Major Tom is in heaven but it's hard to believe Bowie died Yesterday. I was so excited to hear Blackstar but now it's like having a hangover after such fucking bad news.
I had the chance to see his show in Lyon in 87 during the Glass spider Tour and it was phenomenal to see the giant spider and Bowie being lowered from the spider set's ceiling singing the opening song * Glass Spider * all the show was so impressive.
A precursor artist always experimenting from Brecht theater (Baal)The Drawned Girl ( this song with Tilda is impressive ) to cinema and so, so much more
This genius artist fascinates me and even now with Lazarus track I realize how avant-garde he was even in his own death.
During 5 years he lived 5 minutes from my home in Blonay near Vevey and I met him once when I was teen in Lausanne,( he lived there 15 years after leaving Blonay) I was so shocked to recognize him, so handsome in his glamour suit, I was about to shout his name but he put a finger over his lips with a shy smile so I understood he needed to stay incognito..:D
What I mostly admire in Bowie's work is the way he created alter egos like Ziggy or Major Tom using them recurrently as double identities to create and tell mythic evolving stories ( Major Tom in Blackstar appears as a skull in his space suit ) Bowie was always reinventing himself ( punk, junkie, glam, psyche, bobo, new-wave, yuppie, alien, mutant ) but I think I was really, really found of his early work and for me he was one of the best song writer ever.
He is gone but his music and words will stay forever.
