A cross country voyager passes the site of Washwood Heath No1 signal box on its journey north out of Birmingham. Behind the train is where the industrial units have been demolished to make way for HS2 which will run alongside the mainline here.

Chiltern Railways Class 168 Clubman 168112 waits at Birmingham Moor Street with the 14:55 1L62 Birmingham Moor Street to Leamington Spa. The 168's and Loco hauled sets usually operate the services to London Marylebone, while the 165's work the Leamington Shuttles. However, the Line has been severed at Harbury Tunnel, which means that these services cannot reach London until Easter.
