After picking up a cut of cars in BPRR's Buffalo Creek yard, EMD SD60s 3889 and 3885 work their way east (railroad south) on the NS Ebenezer runner as they approach the Babcock Street overpass with the Buffalo skyline in the background.
Buffalo & Pittsburgh train X-BFSI (Buffalo, NY - Salamanca, NY) passes "AD" tower in Ashford, NY with a train for interchange with the WNYP in Salamanca. Built in 1914 by the Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh (BR&P) railroad, Ashford tower stood to guard the junction of the Buffalo and Rochester divisions of the railroad. The tower was in service until the late 1960's when CTC was installed by the B&O railroad and has sat dormant ever since. Out of the four BR&P towers still standing, AD (Ashford, NY), WI (Brockway, PA), FC (Falls Creek, PA), and C&M Jct. (DuBois, PA) Ashford is in the best condition.
A pair of Canadian Pacific Gevos haul 101 cars of frac sand south on the Western New & Pennsylvania as they pass under Dutch Hill Road in Ischua, NY. With the sand cars billed for Turtlepoint, this is the first time a unit sand train with run through power came to the WNYP. The train came out of Conway on Thursday night, and traversed the NS LED on Friday morning. The usual routing for these cars is NS droping the cars in B&P's Buffalo Creek yard, and the normal road freight (BFSI) then takes them to Salamanca where they are dropped for the WNYP. This train hopped on the B&P at CP-Draw, and continued south on the B&P to Machias Jct. The next morning, a WNYP crew took the train from Machias to North Olean.
A pair of Buffalo & Pittsburgh SD60's swing around the connecting track as Machias Junction in Machias, New York. This extra BFSI move is getting on to the former PRR Buffalo Line as it heads north to Buffalo, passing by a pair of out of service PRR position light signals.

BFSI shortly after tie down on a gloomy morning in Salamanca. The SD50s may not sound as good as an SD40, but they sure look nice!
Buffalo & Pittsburgh BFSI pulls out of the speed restriction at Machias with a trio of PRLX SD60Ms. This was the only matched set that I shot on the B&P. Now these units are getting shipped off the property.
