It was fun watching the waves washing over the thin ice and bursting out of the round holes in the ice. Not sure how they formed.
"come la candela che resta accesa
e che mi fa luce nell'oscurità,
come la strada che mi porta sempre
nel luogo esatto in cui voglio arrivare,
come quel posto lontano dal centro
dove mi fermo a riposare,
mi piace come sei"
I made this one quite awhile ago and only today decided it was worthy of posting. Hope you like it.

I am in awe of nature. Standing in a field of wildflowers this morning, I let myself be completely in the moment. There was not a single other person around. I felt like the world was beautiful and calm and good for the entire time I was there.

The Sunday afternoon 6Z26 1538 Chaddesdon Sidings - Peak Forest seems to be one that can be relied on to run. Seen approaching Chesterfield where it will get signal checked on Platform 3 awaiting a path over onto the main line .

When I saw the pics of next year's sets, I noticed that not one but two (or even three hehe) of the parts I've designed will appear in new sets soon, and one of them already exists. Of course, I won't say they're copying my designs, as these are fairly basic, but I'm nevertheless really glad to see them come true, and I hope much more will follow.

Becoming Marni is a site-specific installation conceived as the concluding act of the whole Marni Prisma program. It consists of one hundred wooden sculptures created by Brazilian self-taught artist Véio, distributed around the cloister and inside the rooms of the Abbey, drawing an ideal landscape of organic forms. The sculptures are installed in different groups, indoors and outdoors, their presence marked by a tactile path, the color of Venice’s water, drawn on the floor: an irregular surface with translucent spots, creating continuity between the outside and the inside. A small cabinet in the cloister housed Véio’s workshop, enabling him to create artworks on site. Furthermore, as the San Gregorio Abbey is usually closed to the public, this exhibition presented an opportunity to enjoy a unique space.
Consuelo and Carolina Castiglioni discovered Véio at a collective exhibition in Paris. Through Galeria Estação, which exclusively represents him, they entered in contact with him and Carolina tracked him down to Nossa Senhora da Gloria, the small village in the north East of Brazil where he lives and works. Here Véio creates his enigmatic sculptures by giving new life to pieces of wood, clogs and branches he finds along the river. He immediately identifies a being in each piece – an animal, a resting human, a fantastic bird. By a process of artistic transformation – clipping, shaving, adding a final layer of color – he makes the same beings visible to the public, removing them from the raw material and thereby restoring to the wood a meaning that exceeds pure physicality.

Helix of Becoming conjures a spiral of spiritual and emotional emergence—an energetic architecture of the self in motion. Color becomes current; form becomes frequency. Each twist of pigment and light suggests not a destination, but a process: the ever-evolving act of becoming.
The composition pulses with dualities—chaos and grace, fracture and healing—interlacing like strands of thought or memory spiraling through time. At its core, this work is less a depiction than a meditation: a visualization of inner ascent, of the ineffable journey toward integration.
Rather than charting a fixed truth, Helix of Becoming invites the viewer to locate their own center in its turning—a moment suspended between dissolution and becoming, silence and song. It is not the spiral that moves, but us.

If you dream of becoming an eagle, you follow your dreams and not the words of a bunch of chickens.

Went to the Mississippi River down at Hastings, MN to find this eagle.
I was going to wait to upload this, but ah who cares right? Today was quite sunny so that bummed me out...lol I'm a photographer, what do you expect? It did give me some time to relax with the family though. There was some talk last night about me using vines for a new concept. So, sometime in the afternoon, when the sun started to disappear, my Aunty began trimming the vines off the house and ended up providing me with a whole wheelbarrow full of them! Mum & I then proceeded to cover me in the vines and take the photograph. As we made our way down the mountain, it became a whole lot more stormy in nature and we had to quickly get a shot. I had a lot of fun and it's always great when a concept comes together with the help of your family.
Here's a behind the scenes shot I posted on my instagram :P
