100 (one-and-one-half inch) pieced and machine quilted squares from my stash and portions of re-purposed denim jeans. Bag measures 8 1/2" wide x 5" tall with handle drop of 4" from top of handle to top edge of bag.
This is a fun little tote bag design I made up a few years ago. Quikc to knit with Lamb's Pride yarn and embellished with leather handles and flowers.
Made from four Target bags, fused together in this method, then assembled with red duct tape. It doesn't seem like the most durable thing in the world (it may be, I just don't want to test it and ruin it), but all I'm going to use it for is large, but light-weight knitting projects.

I was interested in detail embroidery and printed on different labels collected during recycling clothing. I then juxtapose the labels by shape and color on the bag. I like to create practical bags with lots of pockets and durable. It is made entirely of recycled, except one or two snap!
Constructed with recycled wool sweaters that have been felted and embellished with needle felting and embroidery. Both have leather handles and are fully lined.

Finally a bag made for my Fiance Steph. This makes coaly #6 and I think I can do it in my sleep now. The outside is made of durable Denim.

My favourite carry bag of all time. Its supposed to be a medium - small gym bag as the material is dry fit and light weight.
I use this to carry my crap around on the way to work whether it be, fruit, books, jumpers, DSLR camera etc. The thing i love about this bag soo much is that when empty it moulds into shape so its hugs around your arm / waist so its not always looking boxish and massive. It also has awesome compartments handy for getting my train / bus ticket ready.
When its not used as gym bag i use it to carry shit around, whether it be, my SLR camera, jumpers,
from the NEW HANDMADE book. I decreased the pattern by 2 inches because I was out of 9inch zippers, I also quilted it instead of using interfacing!

Skirt + Belt = Tote Bag
I sewed up the bottom of the skirt and its original lining, removed the zipper and ugly waistband (weird red and white psychadelic polyester that did not match the embroidered linen at all); then I attached the belt, leaving it intact this time, instead of cutting off the buckle.
I paid $2 each for the skirt and belt.
