Although Friedensreich Hundertwasser first achieved notoriety for his boldly-coloured paintings, he is more widely known for his individual architectural designs. These designs use irregular forms, and incorporate natural features of the landscape. In architectural projects he implemented window right and tree tenants, uneven floors, woods on the roof, and spontaneous vegetation.

Truckers call this stretch of mountain just East of Pendleton Oregon "Cabbage" but don't ask me why. One story was a truck loaded with cabbage crashed coming down, but lots of trucks have crashed coming down so why cabbage would get the name, who knows, but ask any trucker that's been driving a few years and they'll know about Cabbage hill. The the truck in this shot is headed East, I was standing just below the West bound lanes. I had parked at the scenic view point and hiked back to the highway and crossed over to get an open view of the mountains and highway below. (I'll include a link to my truck and the scenic view point)
Been back and forth between Phoenix and Los Angeles the past few days, at our Jurupa Valley terminal tonight and have tomorrow off, sort of, picking up Monday morning at 0300, so Mondays gonna kinda sucks, but getting layover pay which is double on the weekends. $200 for a day off, not bad.
Internet here is better at night, so gonna do as much tonight on Flickr as possible, and tomorrow even with slower internet should be able to do more viewing.

Der von 99 713 bespannte letzte Zug des Tages wurde am 19. März 2022 zwischen Moritzburg und Friedewald Bad aufgenommen. Im Hintergrund ist wenige Augenblicke vorher dei Abendsone am Horizont versunken.
The last train of the day was photographed on March 19, 2022 between Moritzburg and Friedewald Bad. In the background, a few moments before, the evening sun had sunk below the horizon.
Macro Mondays theme : Curves
For this week theme I chose to use this young Tillandsia (an airplant) that serves as hair for a clay figurine. To respect the 3” guideline you only see the upper part of the figurine which represents a young man sitting down his head resting on his knees.
The Tillandsia gently curved “leaves” naturally guide the eyes to the head of the dreamy figurine. The curve of the vase used to create the head returns the attention to the plant.

Well, the 1Z10ers experienced none of this, but those vehicles in the distance were trapped for over an hour by the gates that were shut for safety while the train was shunted.
Unlucky for the few, as at this time of year the train only runs on two evenings a week.
Note to self, take you tripod next time! It was back in my car near Stoke on Trent. In what was almost darkness an hour after sunset an ISO of 12,800 was needed with a shutter speed of just 1/40 sec with the lens wide open - hence the less than sharp image and a fair bit of tweaking in Lightroom.
Oh, and thanks to Rob who had walked down this path along the coast leading to the tunnel under the railway and phoned to tell me about the rising moon.

Polen hatte seinen Teil des Parks als Naturschutzgebiet behandelt, weshalb er bis in die 1990er Jahre zuwuchs.
Anschließend fanden in deutsch-polnischer Kooperation Aufräumarbeiten stat], in der Folge verstärkte sich die polnisch-deutsche Zusammenarbeit und der Park wurde Schritt um Schritt wieder in Stand gesetzt.
Poland had treated its part of the park as a nature reserve, which is why it grew over until the 1990s. Clean-up work then took place in German-Polish cooperation, as a result of which Polish-German cooperation increased and the park was restored step by step.

This juvenile delinquent brown bear is the first bear to ever make me nervous. We encountered him twice over four days and both times he was quite bold and showed no respect for our space. Our guide actually raised his bear spray canister in preparation to give this guy a face full. At that point, this bad boy turned and walked away. But not before causing some concern for our group.
