We had just crossed the Ambercrombie river and I noticed a group of Axis Deers on the hillside. Ian pulled and I managed to get a few shots before they took off.

Amalienborg Palace and the Frederik’s Church (the Marble Church) seen from the Hønsebroløbet Canal. The church aligns along the central axis of Frederiksstaden, known as the Royal Axis.
This axis begins at the waterfront, passes between the two buildings of Amalienborg Palace that frame the view, and continues across the palace courtyard with the statue of King Frederik V in the middle. From there, it continues along Frederiksgade toward the church at the far end of the line of sight, Copenhagen, Denmark.

I sadly broke my torch there a few weeks ago, and upon my desperate search for the part that fell off, I at least got treated to an impressive late Summer sunset. I must admit I don't actually remember taking this particular shot, however, upon further review I figured it looked like a giant industrial or engineered X & Y Axis of a graph.
Quite liked that the sky remained mostly blue on this occasion, presenting the contrast of the early setting Sun before the light dimmed further.
Monday's nearly done, hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)
The world revolves slowly around its axis. Never in a hurry. Never stopping. Merely existing on and with the terms of life. Find your axis. Make it your turning point of life. Revolve in your own pace. Just slowly follow the flow of your life.
My husband and I took a little ride down some county roads near our place. We came across some axis bucks that seem to be of varying ages based on antler size. This is a sequence but of course they came up in reverse order on my feed. Anyway, we first saw two - a vary impressive older buck with large antlers. An interesting fact about these deer is that the mature bucks have a total of 6 points (except in rare cases) and as they get older the antlers just get longer. I have seen old bucks that can barely hold their heads up straight because the antlers have grown so huge. Anyway the two studied us and then finally chose to jump the fence. Then a third one came across the road and stopped to look around as if wondering where the others had gone.

As the sun sinks into the sea at the end of another day. A simple shot of the two wind farms visible from the beach at Crosby, the second is off the Welsh coast which you may notice in the distance to the left of frame:).
The idea being that the sun is the centre of rotation, a concept echoed by the rythm of the tide and the turning turbines, for all that happens on Earth, the world keeps rotating.
Thanks for looking.

This was another test shot with lighting but it got me thinking more and more about the Gotham from the '89 movie. The Gothic/Art Deco mashup with the copious amounts of fog and smoke, what a glorious atmosphere! Why haven't I built anything for it before now?
So I want to do more interesting backgrounds in this theme. Obviously the '89 Batman minifig would be nicer to use but damned if I'm paying $50 for a minifigure.
This HYBYCOZO sculpture is titled Axis Mundi. It is in the Lewis Desert Portal and anchors the keystone of the Desert Discovery Trail.

Stainless Steel, Powder Coat Pigment, LED
Axis Mundi draws inspiration from the crystalline structure of fluorite, which contains shapes similar to honeycomb. This artwork is made up of hexagons and squares that efficiently fill space without gaps. These patterns are remarkably elegant and balanced in their division of three-dimensional space.

LIGHT BLOOM by HYBYCOZO is a limited-time exhibit where nature and light converge. This mesmerizing display invites you to explore the Garden transformed by stunning geometric light installations that illuminate the beauty of the desert landscape in a new way. As the sun sets, LIGHT BLOOM comes to life, casting intricate shadows and vibrant hues across the Garden. Wander the trails and let the enchanting installations transport you to a magical realm where the natural world meets the abstract.
HYBYCOZO is the collaborative studio of artists Serge Beaulieu and Yelena Filipchuk. Based in Los Angeles, their work consists of larger than life geometric sculptures, often with pattern and texture that draw on inspirations from mathematics, science, and natural phenomena. Typically illuminated, the work celebrates the inherent beauty of form and pattern and represents their ongoing journey in exploring the myriad dimensions of geometry. HYBYCOZO is short for the Hyperspace Bypass Construction Zone, a nod to their favorite novel (The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) and was the title of their first installation in 2014. They continue to create under this name. In the novel earth was being destroyed to make way for a bypass. It lead Serge and Yelena to ask what it means to make art at a time where the earth’s hospitable time in the universe may be limited.

Q: Walk us through your creative process?
A: The focus of our creative process is to explore the intricate interplay between geometry, light, space and to inspire contemplation, wonder and a sense of place among our audiences. Geometry and pattern-making serve as the backbone of our creative expression. It is the framework through which we navigate the complexities of form, proportion and spatial relationships. Patterns, both simple and complex, have a profound impact on our perception and understanding of the world. They possess the ability to evoke a sense of order, balance and aesthetic pleasure. Pattern making and geometry offer us a means of storytelling and communication. These patterns serve as conduits for deeper exploration, provoking introspection and contemplation to uncover the underlying symbols embedded within the human psyche.
Q: What inspired the concept of LIGHT BLOOM?
A: Just as many cactus and desert plants have evolved to produce night-blooming flowers, adapting to their environment and thriving in darkness, our sculptures come alive after sunset, blossoming with light and transforming the night into a glowing landscape of art and geometry.
Desert Botanical Garden has an incredible collection of plants and cacti arranged in a beautiful park setting.

The trip into Ramthambore unfortunately was Tiger-less but there was plenty of Tiger food wandering around including this impressive buck Chital (derived from the Hindi word citrala meaning spotted)
It’s range is across Asia and in the right habitats a common species.
Ranthambore N.P (Zone 6)
Interesting visit to the Ranthambore National Park during the monsoon season, when everything is covered in mud and greenery. We had no luck with tigers (there is only a 1% chance to see it during the monsoon), but the views were beautiful and we saw lots of antelopes and birds. On the first day we visited Zone 6 and the second zone 8, which is above the mountain. If we can choose, Zone 6 is much better than 8.
The spotted deer are imported by owners of exotic game ranches. Sometimes they escape confinement and meander through my residential neighborhood.
