N422MWY

on Queen Street, Colchester

Definitely not the shot I planned for is this one. I aimed for a different shot but due to some inconsiderate Peugeot driver :) the shot didnt happen. Seen about to start service to Harrogate is Scania L94 S802 SJV, a former Stagecoach in Lincolnshire that now resides with the lovely people of Harrogate Coach Travel, aka Connexions buses. The vehicle is seen operating the other half of the 653 service, between Guiseley & Harrogate. The two current services overlap between Guiseley & Otley

Travel by modern bus is something of a novelty nowadays. Unfortunately it's a novelty that soon wears off when one is reminded of the sheer dismalness of being subjected to First Scotland East or whatever they're called this week.

This is a Wright bodied Scania L94UB, which was making an unpleasant graunching noise and had a saggy arse like the rest.

Arriva Scania L94UB/Wright Axcess-Floline 3116 (S340 SET) unloads at Wonersh on the 43 to "Cranleign." This journey is duplicated - Olympian 5925 was probably running behind it. But I wasn't aware of this and went home and missed the second bus...!

This bus came from MK Metro in June 2011, specifically for route 43, to kill off the last remaining Dennis Lance, 3024 (N224 TPK).

The 43 runs on college days from Cranleigh to Godalming College via Rowly, Shamley Green, Wonersh, Bramley, Shalford, Peasmarsh and Farncombe.
