ODC2 Coffee
I dedicate this to Su, on of my favorite Latinas, who loves coffee...
I have been thinking about doing this shot for weeks. I thought about it every day, waiting for the right time -- the right challenge. So today was the day. I read about it, looked at pictures, figured it out.
But it was hard. Out of focus, shadowy . My idea was to have a drop of cream in a sea of black coffee. And shot after shot I saw the coffee turn into a muddy brown, and yet nothing. In the midst of my desolation I opened everything in Confusing Lightroom, and everything was muddy, out of focus. this one is not my favorite but it is at least sharp. And the flying drop is kind of fun. You will find 3 other half success - half failures on my stream.
I need to think about it and then try again. And this is just what photography is. Try, half fail, think, try again.
