To look down on the whole area is absolutely awesome indeed it brings a tear to the eye to think that in this cemetry alone there are 10.00 graves each deserving of at least 50 more years of life multiply 10.000 by 50 and see what was taken away

La pâtisserie est aussi un signe distinctif avec notamment un gâteau phare, le « Gagnoa » un gâteau au chocolat portant le nom d’une des villes produisant le plus de cacao en Côte d’Ivoire. La légende raconte que certains ivoiriens le congèlent pour l’emmener aux 4 coins du pays à l’occasion de mariages, baptême et autres festivités!
Met mijn oudste zoon voor het eerst naar Volkel in de Wolken geweest. Een echte aanrader. Een heerlijk ontspannen sfeertje, diverse andere activiteiten zoals een markt, een display van verschillende WO II voertuigen en oude en moderne trucks en natuurlijk een schitterende airshow. Voor mij waren de trekkers de spitfire, de Thunder Yaks, de P-51, de Fokker Four en eigenlijk ook de Catelina die helaas uitviel. Maar ook de andere shows waren om over naar huis te schrijven. Ik vond met name de AeroSPARXX en de Glider team erg mooi. Een aangenaam dagje vermaak ; )
My son and I went to 'Volkel in de Wolken'. I was our the first time. Highly recommended. A lovely relaxed atmosphere, a variety of other activities like a market, a display of various WW II vehicles and old and modern trucks and of course a stunning airshow. For me, the spitfire, the Thunder Yaks, the P-51, the Fokker Four and, the Catelina (who unfortunately wasn't able to come due to engine problems) were the main attraction. But also the other shows were awsome. I especially liked the AeroSPARXX and the Glider team. A fun day out for father and son ; )
Mit meinem ältesten Sohn zum ersten Mal nach 'Volkel in den Wolken'. Sehr zu empfehlen. Eine entspannende Atmosphäre, eine Vielzahl von anderen Aktivitäten, einschließlich eines Marktes, einer Anzeige von verschiedenen WWII Fahrzeuge und alte und moderne Lastwagen und natürlich eine fantastische Airshow. Für mich waren die Spitfire, die Thunder Yaks, die P-51, die Fokker Vier und die Catelina (hatte leider motot Probleme) die Haupt attraction. Aber auch die anderen Shows waren zum empfehlen. Ich fand besonders AeroSPARXX und Glider Team sehr schön. Ein angenehmer Tag für Vater und Sohn ; )
