Growing up I never had to be "the new kid" at school. Work wise, I've always been the only employee or worked for myself. Now that I'm in a REAL office setting, I feel like I did on my first day of kindergarten...scared, alone, lost.
I got to work 30 minutes early and sat in my car giving myself a pep talk. Now it's lunch time and everyone is either doing their own thing or they've left the office in groups. I feel like DJ in that episode of Full House...the one where it's her first day of middle school and she spends lunch in the restroom...
Ok, thirty second pity party is over. Time to put on my big girl pants and get on with my life!

I'm willing to bet this isn't on the list of most beautiful cameras ever created.
This is an Argus Autronic 35. A rangefinder camera with probably the most awkward designs I've witnessed. It's basically a brick and weighs close to one too, the dial on the left there is your focusing, and the button in that is the shutter.
Your shutter speeds? You get 5 options and that's it.Flash, Scene, Action, 500 and Bulb, which is hidden. You do get control over the aperture though.
Focus distance? Probably a minimum of 3-4 feet I think. The focusing dial goes from Flash Finder to 8, and from 8 to 1 and past that so just guess and make sure the images line up.
Apparently this thing had a safety meter thing for the Automatic aperture setting but mine doesn't. So I think it actually works.
Hopefully. And I'll load some film in it, find a bulb for a flash and try it out.

This shoveler drake at Castle Espie WWT reserve put on a show for me. Unfortunately the light wasn't great, but I still got this nice snap. I think it looks like he is doing an awkward smile for the camera.
Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles, California - Female snow leopard cub born at the Los Angeles Zoo on 5/12/17 to Malaya (Mom) and Bajen (Dad). Her brother and littermate was born on 5/13/17.
Mother Malaya was born at the Akron Zoo in Ohio on 4/14/14 and father Bajen was born at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, New York on 6/14/12. This is the first litter for both snow leopards.
