Landings can be a bit uncontrolled

AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f5.6E ED VR / Nikon D500

Ann awkward, somewhat blurry landing by a squirrel climbing down a chain-link fence. The squirrel seems unfazed.

If the desolate land and oddly bright colored house didn't signal a warning, something much bigger might help address the situation to poor old Charlie.

Just another fun test with perspective, I don't like this one just as much as my 'Nam pic.

I've always wanted to do this! Sorry for my awkwardness in the picture and for my discombobulated letters!

I made Jowena get in my shot, against her will. That gate was way too awesome not too! ...but it was seriously dirty... I'm surprized she actually humoured me and did it!

Dolly and Elliot's portfolio shots for Duet. I have to say, Elliot's is my favorite. XD But these both were fun to make. I didn't want to go too crazy on these. I thought making it simple would kinda let them shine a bit more.

Poor Elliot. He'll most likely trip over air and fall backward. For him, anything's possible.

Spoonbills in tree tops just shouldn't be. But then again, when was the last time you saw an aligator climb a tree. Rip's Rookery, Rip Van Winkle Gardens, New Iberia, Louisiana

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to visit, comment and fave - I appreciate it!

That awkward moment when you just know you're not getting back into Heaven

my girlfriend was the genius behind this little hanging-mobile layout.

I had to stage a photo for the cover of Red Letter Daze this evening about sexual health. We'd decided that birth control was the way to go, but that led to the awkward announcement in the office "Does anyone have birth control that we can borrow?" (which was later followed by "does anyone have colorful condoms?")

We obviously got some and got the photo we needed. Unfortunately birth control is kind of boring looking, so I had to do a lot of poking around in Photoshop to make it look moderately interesting. I ended up going with a lomo/vintage/old style treatment and from what I saw before I left, the cover looks pretty awesome! We'll see on Friday!

I tried to be as quiet as possible as not to interrupt these lovely newly weds...

Roseate Spoonbill and Black-necked Stilt on Galveston Island at 7 Mile Road

I rarely ever see bumble bees mating so this was a fun find. The female remained motionless while the male was very active with quite a bit of flailing of legs. The process took about 30 minutes.
