Castaways Sculpture Awards is an annual art competition that has been running since 2008. Castaways combines the theme of recycling and environmental awareness with the creative re-use of materials and innovative sculpture.
The exhibition highlights two areas of great importance to the City: providing and supporting arts and cultural opportunities for residents; and raising the profile of recycling and environmental sustainability.
Castaways creates opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their artworks alongside established professional Artists. More than 15,000 visitors attend the exhibition each year, with more than 50 sculptures gracing the Rockingham foreshore.

I don't mean to brag, but last night I was awarded Young Engineer of the Year by the New York State Society of Professional Engineers.
I give mad props to all my homies.
The sportsclass is for the younger players. Next year, Jan has to play master class (although he is still young enough for sportsclass) and will have to compete with the European champion (who is from Germany). That will be a harder job.

30th annual Many Are One Alumni awards gala celebrated 30 years of servant leadership on June 10, 2016.
The Many Are One alumni awards gala is Seton Hall's premier annual black-tie event. The gala provides an opportunity to celebrate the ways in which the University's alumni have positively influenced our world. Proceeds raised from the gala support four-year scholarships for children, grandchildren and siblings of alumni who attend Seton Hall; each selected student receives $36,000 in scholarship funds.

Mr. Ken Fisher is honored as the 2022 recipient of the Thayer Award. Mr. Fisher, CEO of Fisher House Foundation, is a tireless advocate for military service members, veterans, and their families. His foundation has provided more than 10 million nights of lodging for military families, saving them an estimated $525 million in travel and lodging costs, allowing the families to be with service members recovering from illness or injury far from home.
