At high latitude the golden hour last a little longer which allow me to squeeze out a few more shots with the morning light.

A great day in the excellent company of Jacinto Oliveira and Mónica
This was the first time I experienced the Sunrise in the Lagoon because usually we are already in the bird hide as the Sun comes up. However this time our plans were foiled as place was full by the time we arrived so we had to look for alternatives. It was a different way to look at a very special place and the company was amazing and I in my opinion that always makes it worth the travel :) Cheers everyone.

I need to get one of the newer camera body models with the awesome electronic (and totally silent) shutters. That way I wouldn't wake him with my clicking. The Sony A1 would do nicely, but Ms. Penny Pincher hasn't authorized it! (Yet 😉)

There's nothing like watching those few moments when the sun kisses those peaks......
It was a cool brisk morning and the winds had just subsided.
As daylight came, the blue hour treated us to such colorful pastels in the skies above the Grand Tetons. The cloud formation above was somewhat surreal.
Probably surrounded by 30 other photographers on that chilly morning .... but it was certainly a rewarding & fun outing.

Autumn Awakens….
A few weeks ago we went for an hour and half hike in Caledon.
Every now and then i want to challenge myself to try another lens. so i took my 50mm 1.4 today and spent the day shooting with it.
The leaves were falling from the trees like rain from the sky. the road was awash in all colours and hues of leaves, the flitted and danced on the invisible breeze and glistened in the bright days sunlight. it was magical fall dance of colours.
