Sadie wakes up from her nap.

+ I lie awake, + I toss + turn at night, + the light's dark but my head's filled, the light inside is blinding. I close my eyes + colours dance before me, taunting me, teasing me. Sleep is a far off dream, one that I can't sleep to get to. I wake in the early morning light, confused about whether sleep was real or merely a daydream that happened at night.

An early birthday gift from my sister: 400 yards of hand-dyed merino sock yarn, colorway "Wide Awake." This is part of a series of yarns inspired by the movie/book "Twilight."

I waited until the don't walk countdown on that light got to 2 before I took this shot, I like even numbers and the protagonist on that show lives in 2 different realities that might be dreamworlds.

P.S.- I'm actually in the midst of watching the second episode of "Awake" right now.
