Day 88 of 365 - Still Awake
After working Night Audit last night, I decided it was probably a "good" idea to just stay awake all day so I could get my sleep schedule back to (almost) normal. I will admit, though, I had a little help! I had one Blackberry Slush 'n' Joe from Port City Java first thing in the morning, and another right before returning to work at 3:00 p.m.
Today was another city-wide sell out, essentially. We had one person come to walk-in right as I was leaving. I called a lot of hotels and found them a room. After the lady made her reservation at that hotel, I did the same thing I did on Day 11 of 365.....I drove her over to the hotel to make sure she got there!
(I slept very well after taking this photo!)
2007 i think - it was long after the english assembly program ended. we all had just finished looking at the mini history museum on the second floor and here we are back on the first, looking at all the different languaged Watchtowers and Awakes.
kudos to whoever can tell who's who (except ysha). picture taken by Troy.
Stay awake
Get a grip and get out your safe
From the weight of the world just take
A second to set things straight
I'll be fine
Even though I'm not always right
I can count on the sun to shine
Dedication takes a lifetime
But dreams only last for a night
--Stay Awake ;; All Time Low
Cliched, probably, but I love this picture. Seriously love it. And I think this song fits. So sue me if it's not the most original thing in the world, even though I think it is a little bit, I love it and I'm keeping it.
The lyrics fit well. I can count on the sun to shine... because the sun is rising, but the contradiction in the picture with the sun rising and the moon still being visible makes me think of the "sun to shine... dreams only last for a night" part of these lyrics.
//I did a chalk pastel drawing of this picture: i39.tinypic.com/24awmqs.jpg woo! =)

Sinopsis :
Our selves are greater than the things that contain them.
Falling Awake by Gary Jules
Eagle in the dark
Feathers in the pages.
Monkeys in my heart
Are rattling their cages.
Found a way to blue
And another ghost to follow
Said “it’s only up to you”
And that’s the hardest pill to swallow.
You never get to choose
You live on what they sent you
And you know they’re gonna use
The things you love against you
One foot in the grave
One foot in the shower
There’s never time to save
You’re paying by the hour
And that’s just the way it goes
Falling awake
And that’s just the way it goes
Slipping through the bars
Aware of the danger
Of riding in the cars
Taking candy from strangers
And it’s never out of hand
Never out of pocket
I’m supersonic man
Do you wanna buy a rocket?
And that’s just the way it goes
Falling awake, falling awake
Oh that’s just the way it goes
Falling awake, falling awake
Eagle in the dark
Feathers in the pages
Monkeys in my heart
Are rattling their cages
I could learn to play the game
I could learn to run the hustle
If I only had the brains
The money or the muscle
