The Studebaker Avanti was a sports coupe built by the Studebaker Corporation of South Bend, Indiana, USA between June 1962 and December 1963. Designed by a team of stylists employed by industrial designer Raymond Loewy, the Avanti featured a radical fiberglass body design mounted on a modified Studebaker Lark convertible chassis. After the closure of Studebaker's factory in December 1963, The Avanti model name, tooling and plant space were sold to two South Bend Studebaker dealers. They introduced a slightly modified version of the car in 1965 under the brand name "Avanti II", but neither it nor subsequent models assembled by a succession of entrepreneurs had any lawful connection with the Studebaker Corporation or its brand name.

When we drove just outside of Christiansburg Virginia. In search of some covered bridges in the area, We had to stop at this plumbers place of business who had some old cars up front. He generously gave us a tour of his many faceted enterprises which also included restoring antique cars, and making some unique go carts. His shop was visual treasure for us as photographers.

The canopies have been restored over the last two years. Working at night when the station was closed must have been challenging.
From Lancaster it's about the same time to London as it is to Glasgow. Handy for a day trip.

An Eight storey (R 110m) upmarket office & retail centre comprising of 3 parking basements, a ground floor retail area and 4 upper floors of office space. At the start of construction, the site presented founding challenges as it primarily a dumping a area previously. Ground conditions comprised a mixture of clay, sand, subsurface water and rock. Furthermore, high tension cables were found buried on the edge of the excavation, thus making site excavations tricky and unusual.
Construction started in March 2007 and completed in February 2009.
