The art of nature, especially trees bathed in sunlight, can evoke a sense of peace and wonder, no doubt . Picture tall trees with their branches reaching skyward, their red , yellow leaves shimmering as the sunlight filters through, casting a lovely feel. This beautiful early 20th century building was exclusively designed by architect H.P. Berlage for the immensely wealthy couple Anton and Helene Kröller-Müller.
Nowadays it's a site you must visit when you visit the National Park De Hoge Veluwe. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and a temperature around freezing point last weekend the Park was not that crowded. And since blue hour is quite early these days I was able to take this image and exit the park before closing time. The latter took us half an hour of cycling in almost darkness through the forest. Bu we made it!
Since this building wasn't lit by artificial lights it was a challenge to make the final result pop. But some dodging and burning and fiddling with the tones did the job.
