- This Cabriolet, also known as a Spider, was designed by Pininfarina S.p.A., Cambiano (Italy), similar styling to the Fiat-OSCA model.
- It also has the OSCA MT4 DOHC engine, a four-speed manual gearbox (the five-speed came available in 1964), sychro on second, third and fourth gears, a two-barrel Weber carburettor, a 12-Volts electric system, a 38 liter fuel tank and rear wheel drive.

- After the Mimran family had bought ithe nearly bankrupt Lamborghini in 1980, only three models were produced: The LM 002 off-road, the Countach and this "small Targa-like" (targa roof with sensor) Jalpa, also called the "baby-Lambo".
- The name Jalpa Kandachia came from a famous breed of fighting bulls (Ferruccio Lamborghini's passion for bullfights), a tradition later followed with the Gallardo.
- Originally known as Project 118, it was designed by Carrozzeria Bertone and the engine (of the Silhouette) was "repowered" (read less powered ☺) by Giulio Alfieri, so it could be sold in the U.S.A. now.
- It has a transverse mid-engine (aluminum), a five-speed manual gearbox, four Weber 42 DCNF carburetors and rear-wheel drive.
- As Lamborghini's entry-level model, the Jalpa was squarely aimed at taking on the Ferrari 308 and later the Ferrari 328.

- Tipo 15 was designed still working as chief engineer at Deutz Gasmotoren Fabrik (Collogne - Germany) in his basement and became the first "production Bugatti".
- The later Tipo 15 was prototyped as the Tipo 10 in 1908 - 1909. The only difference with the Bugatti Tipo 10 is its longer wheelbase, 2400 mm, and semi-elliptic leaf springs at the back.
- Tipo 15 is recognizable Identified by the hexagonal radiator and known as "La Baignore" ("Bath tub").
- Even the nuts and bolts were specifically designed. The bolts had a small head and were flanged, the nuts were normal size. This encouraged the correct way of use...Hold the bolt, turn the nut ☺!

- The progressive design of this "Coach Profilée" is made by Jean Bugatti, Ettore's sun, only 23 years old at that time.
- The "Profilée" body style became inspiration for the later Ventoux body type found on the Type 57 chassis.

- Tipo 50 was available in two steel ladder frame chassis:
* Tipo 50T: a long "Touring" version with 2 Schebler carburettors, a Roots Supercharger and torque 386 Nm/ 2.800rpm.
* Tipo 50: the "sport" version, with a 40cm shorter wheelbase and 2 Zenth carburettors and a slightly stronger engine (a higher capacity Roots Supercharger) producing 225bhp/4.000rpm, torque 420 Nm/ 2.800rpm and a top speed of 192 km/h, the most powerful production engine Ettore ever designed.
- The Tipo 50 was trend-setting, big, impressive and easy to drive but also expensive to buy / restore and mechanically complex.
- As far as known, this is only one of two "Coach Profilée" survivors.

Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is an Italian brand and manufacturer of luxury sports cars and SUVs based in Sant'Agata Bolognese and tractors Lamborghini Trattori in Pieve di Cento, Italy. The company is owned by the Volkswagen Group through its subsidiary Audi.
Ferruccio Lamborghini, an Italian manufacturing magnate, founded Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini S.p.A. in 1963 to compete with established marques, including Ferrari. The company gained wide acclaim in 1966 for the Miura sports coupé, which established rear mid-engine, rear wheel drive as the standard layout for high-performance cars of the era. Lamborghini grew rapidly during its first decade, but sales plunged in the wake of the 1973 worldwide financial downturn and the oil crisis. The firm's ownership changed three times after 1973, including a bankruptcy in 1978. American Chrysler Corporation took control of Lamborghini in 1987 and sold it to Malaysian investment group Mycom Setdco and Indonesian group V'Power Corporation in 1994. Lamborghini produces sports cars and V12 engines for offshore powerboat racing. Lamborghini currently produces the V12-powered Aventador and the V10-powered Huracán along with the Urus SUV powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine.

- The torque-tube rear axle of the A series was replaced by a four-link rear axle with a Panhard rod in mid-'68.

- The 1904 model has a pressed steel frame, instead of a steel-reinforced wood chassis, a rigid axle with leaf springs in front and rear, wooden spoke wheels, hand operated brake on the rear axle and a foot operated brake on the drive shaft.
- This model was produced in four wheelbase lenghts to allow different body styles (two seats sports version, Tonneau, Wagonette-Tonneau, Duc-de-Dame, up to big Landaulet and Phaeton versions.
- The T-head design engine is pump-circulated water cooled, has a band type clutch, a FIAT carburettor and rear wheel drive (dual-chain drive system).
- The 24-32 HP had (for that time) many novelties: it was the first sedan car to use a "Landaulet" body type, was the first car to have an accelerator (foot) pedal and it was the first automobile with a four-speed manual (forward) gearbox + reverse.
- Also noteworthy is the fact that in the first two series, tires with identical dimensions were used front and rear.
- The 24-34 HP "1902 24 HP Corsa" also was the first "racer" ever! It was specially designed for racing and not a "clone" of a standard automobile. It had a complete steel chassis (instead of wood), a 7238cc straight-4 twin-engine block with 40 bhp and speeds up to 100 km/h, very fast in those days.
- Queen Margherita, the first Queen of Italy ("The Queen of pearls") owned a 24-32 HP, so called “Sparrowhawk”, in which she toured around half a year through Europe (over 5,000 km) in company of the famous racing driver Alessandro Cagno.
- This 24-32 HP (car no. 745 / July 1904) was sold new and shipped to the U.S.A. (Hollander & Tengeman in New York served as the sole agents for the U.S.A. and Canadian markets) as a two seater Sports and fully restored (including an engine and transmission rebuild) as a four seats Tonneau in the '90.

- When Ferrari wanted to build a new F2 sports car for the racing season 1967, it could be build with a "normal" engine and get a homologation / approval if they could prove that they at least could built 500 engines.
Ferrari put this new engine not only in its own F-2 car, but also in his own Dino 206, 246 GT and 246 GTS.
- Some of these engines went to their sister company FIAT, who for the first time ever got an engine with four camshafts. This engine was used in their Dino.
- Pininfarina designed the FIAT Dino, a 2 +2, which unlike the Ferrari Dino had a front mounted engine.
- Only 420 built and less survivors.
