Last week, there was a blackout. I looked out the window and saw that it was pretty extensive.
Up the street, I saw some roadblocks and a bunch of police cars clustered around a house in the middle of the blackness. I don't know if it was related to the blackout.
I grabbed my emergency candles and tried to light them, but I actually had no success. Most of my matches were refusing to ignite, and when they did, the candle wax was refusing to burn. Do matches and candles expire? Ultimately, I gave up, because I was afraid of setting off the fire alarm with all my failed attempts.

Just looked at the time on the original and realised this is a picture of sunrise, not sunset. Should have realised sooner as we were sailing east the whole journey
Popped out to Redmires today.. They have a 'plughole' two! I think I knew that but had not seen it over flow before!

For use in RCFM savenger hunt. I used Brenizer method to make the depth of field a bit shallower so that Tic Toc (the purple eggplant kitchen timer) would be prominent.
