Little brother with the little goatee has ran a body shop for years and is quite good at it. For moneys sake, he purchase a small town abandoned school , knocked a hole in one side, tore out some partitions , put in a overhead door and made this his little place to destroy and fix automobiles.
His speciality is building roadsters from the frame up. I could have polished up his establishment, but I wanted to display it this way.

Firestone has been in business at 76th & Cicero Avenue since 1965. They just recently closed in August 2018 to make way for new development. From what I read in one newspaper a Chic-Fil-A is supposed to open on this site
A new Firestone may open elsewhere on the property in 2019
This place was once a Texaco garage and Spottedlaurel captured it in its death throes as a petrol station in October 2010 - see below. Still a busy working garage and seems to attract some higher performance cars but given its location I'm not at all surprised petrols sales ended. Ditchingham Dam is a narrow road leading out of Bungay, Streetview has it marked as a one way street but I don't think it is. Streetview also captures the garage just after its last days selling fuel in the earliest image.
It doesn't appear in the listings in the Texaco Service Station directory from the early 1990s so I can only deduce that it must have been selling some other brands back then.
I did find some really old photos of it from probably the late 1950s or early 1960s when it was a Shell BP site - see here

The Belgian Fabrique Nationale d’Armes de Guerre (National Manufacturer of War Weapons) company, also sometimes known as Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (National Manufacturer at Herstal), but better known simply as "FN" or "Fabrique Nationale" was founded at Herstal on the edge of Liege in 1889. As well as weapons, it was for many years a manufacturer of motorbikes and of automobiles.
This summary concerns the automobiles. FN was active as an auto-manufacturer from 1899 till the later 1930s which makes it Belgium's longest-lived make of car.[1]

Classic British touring saloon among the Euro trash. This Alvis TD21 touring coupe with handsome bodywork by Park Ward dates from 1959 and is fitted with the firm's own 2993-cc six-cylinder ohv engine. The company passed to Rover in 1965 and into the British Leyland conglomerate in 1967 when production ceased. The Alvis company continued to make military vehicles into recent times.
Any place that spells car with a "k" is a reputable one. It's also the reason I prefer kittens over cats.
