Following the Countach I uploaded yesterday...let's keep this thing going! Any guesses what might come next? (sorry, that's a hard one I know)

Taken at Schuttenbach, make sure to check out their homepage, they have some rare beauties for sale:

MOC: Auto Service. A modern interpretation of the classic set 646 by the same name.

I normally say "all stickers are official LEGO stickers" but in this case, it's not entirely true. For the first time I was not able to track down original, unused stickers (surprise!) as the original set is 35 years old. So I had to resort to reproduction "AUTO SERVICE" stickers by MiniStickers.nl. Which is not a bad option - the colour is almost spot-on, and certainly good enough for my use.

Can't find this location - either totally disappeared or totally transformed to an unrecognisable appearance today. Edit update:- Here apparently - see comments below www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.7438176,-1.7395646,3a,75y,82.28...

Edit update:- Apparently that information was incorrect - correct address now given, now retirement flats and here's the Streetview now

Part of my "Updated Classics" series - an ever-growing number of sets I've re-interpreted in order to make them fit better with modern LEGO City vehicles and buildings.

This is based on my old Minivan design from 2011, slightly modified to look more like an update of the original.

It's a very interesting Lahti coach because it's 1 of only 2 that were built on Volvo's (then) new B9R chassis. Because of this, it sounded like a much more modern bus. Eagles were mainly built on Scania chassis and companies that preferred Volvo liked the older B12M better

Here's the old version parked alongside my updated one - slightly bigger and more streamlined. I have to admit that the stickers on mine had taken a bit more of a beating over the past 30+ years than the ones you see in the picture - these are the best I could find on BrickLink. The old ones weren't really in a condition to display...

It's worth mentioning, too, that the original 646 must have been one of the first LEGO sets I ever owned, and certainly the first car to be able to properly seat a minifig inside. It's almost as old as I am, so it holds a special place in my collection.

This building was built in 1989 as a Walmart discount store. In 2005 Walmart relocated across the road to a new supercenter. Since then this building has been split into Dunham's and Ruler Foods while the garden and auto centers are still empty.

The driver - a female mechanic, obviously, times have moved on - has quite the arsenal of tools in that rear compartment. And yes - it does all fit in there!
