"Valve In Head." David Buick produced cars powered by horizontal engines with "valve in head" construction, a departure from the side valve, intake valves of most early car manufacturers. Under General Motors, Buicks were built with valve in head engines from the beginning, first going to vertical fours, then sixes and eights, first inline and then the famous "nail head" V-8 of the early 1950s.

Something tells me the National Motor Club organization has not been back here recently to check on their earlier accreditation.
Bakersfield, CA. I saw this place from a block away and decided to go take a shot of it. There were two tire places side by side. The man from the other tire place told me that the man who painted this place was blind in one eye and had 15% vision in the other eye. He had to work in the evening because the sunlight bothered him. I think this is excellent folk art. And it almost has a little David Hockney quality to it. I usually post toy camera pictures. This is a cheapo digital off the peg camera. But not low-res enough to be a toy. But this was by far the best shot of this section of the building that I got.
