Picture taken from a CUNYAC basketball game. The subject was running directly towards the camera. The Pentax K-5 (with Pentax DA* 60-250mm lens) managed to keep the subject in focus for about 5 shots before it lost track.

Test shots with my Aussie to get a feel for the Canon EOS 6d auto focus. I've found very little online so I would post these. It was a pretty dark Michigan day in the late afternoon. She is extremely fast.

Autofocus is acting up. Like the effect though.

on the d200, on the (photographer's) lower left front, near the lens mount, there's a three position switch labeled, simply, c s m.

this switch is for the three focusing modes on the camera.

c stands for "continuous autofocus"

s stands for "single autofocus"

m stands for "manual focus"

i rushed to try to get a shot and, in a "homer moment", neglected to check that setting before i shot.

guess which mode the camera was in? doh!

Rob Fraud and the rest of these moronic reactionary fools are prime examples of the reason why we should be investing in more and broader forms of education and not closing libraries. A learned population would not vote for these hateful imbeciles in the first place.

Autofocus with Techart Pro adapter at f/2.8. The autofocus function worked better than I expected and having a monopod greatly helped me to endure the long time shooting.

As Techart Pro mentioned, their adapter works with lens that weights less than 700 g but actually heavier lens can work too as long as the lens has some kind of support below and the the push-pull mechanism now works on the body instead of the lens. Smaller body like A6300 definitely has more advantage.

Adjusting my D800 - 35mm/f1.4 autofocus.

I´ve tried using this: www.focustestchart.com/focus21.pdf but it was not fine enough for the high resolution.

For me the best way was shooting this little feather (app. 10mm) lying on a fine fabric. It´s shot in a very low angle at a distance of app. 2-3 feet.

When you´ve finished the adjustment at close range - check if it´s also OK at a longer distance.

If not......well then I don´t know.

The tamest squirrel I've ever seen came over to me, sniffed my fingers, and sat up for a portrait. I reached for my Leica...he looked like he was about to run away. I hurriedly tripped the shutter. Look how sharp the grass looks!!!

Autofocus could not handle this and I am not sure that manual focusing did well enough, either. There's my bicycle at 10 o'clock and there's myself at 3 o'clock - unrecognizable. I tried.

the autofocus slept out when it fell down so I had to repalce it manually.

But I do not recoment this to do by your own it is hard stuff.

My fist thought was it is built like a Challanger Rocket but without the use to depart after reaching space!

Sometimes when I have a little more time (or presence of mind) I can pre-focus. Here I focused on the path these two would walk along. It worked in this case but you have to guess-timate where exactly they will walk (and use a little trigonometry).

It worked better than the preceding photo but I'm still not 100% happy.
