Para quem não sabe, o autismo é um distúrbio do desenvolvimento humano, que apresenta-se, geralmente, antes dos três anos de idade da criança, caracterizando-se por desvios qualitativos na comunicação, uso da imaginação e interação social.
Como uma forma de colaboração, que tal esmaltarmos nossas unhas com o azul, a cor símbolo do Autismo, pelo menos uma vez esse mês?!
There is no know single cause for Autism. It has been accepted that Autism is caused by abnormalities in the structure of the brain. Researchers are currently investigating whether there is a link between herdedity, genetics and medical problems.
There are certain medical conditions that are present in patients with Autism. These conditions are Fagile Xsyndrome, tuberous sclerosis, congenital rubella syndrome, and untreated phenyketonuris (pku). There are also environmenal factors that could cause Autism such as environemental toxins.

Pastel Hills, by Leah DeMonia, who has autism and lives in Oxford, Pa. (Leah is 13 in July 2014) Her pictures will be part of the Art of Expression Exhibit at the 2014 National Autism Conference at Penn State University.
Like "chalk and cheese" my son's are such lovable characters in their own way; my eldest who has Autism and my youngest who loves the limelight.
