I was on vacaion last week and did some travelling. I had been to a village in Maharastra, India and i was amazed to see this. This is a juice extraction method, a bull/cow is tied to the wodden churner where sugarcane is passed in between the churner...!!!
This is my first time to see this.

Miso soup with myoga (Japanese ginger) and tofu, fish and grated daikon radish, fried green beans, and of course white rice.

I have started taking pictures of unfortunate foods... this I stumbled on while wandering through a local asian grocery the size of a Wal-Mart... but instead of being stocked with tears and mediocrity. it's shelves were full of wonder and fatuousness.
And fish in tanks they will scoop out and chop up for you tight there.. hanging roast whole ducks... roasted pigs ears... oh yes... I will be spending tme there.. but this just amused me a great deal.
