"Organic Lambic Aged Three Years in Oak."
Most lambics you can buy, even good ones, are a blend of older and newer lambics ("gueze"). This is a rare, unblended release of what they consider to be a lamibc that is so exquisite, it can simply be released as is.
The carbonation was low, and that, combined with being less acidic than some Cantillon beers (even the Gueze I drank earlier in this year of lambic) made this Grand Cru to be an extremely easy to drink beer. It was a wonderful smooth balanced flavor and for a lambic was oddly quaffable. That is, it would not have been difficult to drink an entire bottle, and probably more.
It was shared with a friend while watching the 2010 Tour of Flanders, a famous bike race in Belgium. Seemed fairly appropriate.
Food at Mama Clorinda's. There were not that many Ecuadorian food joints in our area. I think that was because it was really touristy in our area and that unfortunately Ecuadorian food is rather bland.
I made a queen-sized quilt for our bedroom from Moda Authentic layer cakes. I love love love this collection, so I didn't want to cut into the pieces because I just love the prints.
It was a beast of a quilt to hand quilt but it's well worth the effort, I think.. I used black and mid-grey for sashing, and a black and white dot fabric for the binding.

Dear M,
It is always interesting when authentic articles put in the effort to gain the credentials that are needed to do a particular task and still are not heard, respected or valued while doing it. People will always find a reason and fault in others to do things their way or create a divide with the use of titles.
The authentic articles just want to have fun, advance the field and help others. But instead, they are asked to do more administrative paper work, plan for more hoops to jump through, more sink holes and fire pits to deal with. No one wants to go through this no matter how invested they are, especially not the authentic articles. They simply go elsewhere. And they have. This level of layering and title endowment simply prevents those that are good at it to stay involved long enough to make a difference or desire to care.
