This tree fell across the path, I don't know how many years ago, but it's been cut. The moss has taken it over, but the tree maintains a single person pathway on an otherwise multi-person path.
Beautiful fireworks over the Miami Skyline during the Independence Day parade along the waterway. HDR image created in Aurora HDR software by Macphun.

The church used to stand at Dvergasteinn farm and in 1882 it was moved to Vestdalseyri. At first the church stood on a hill overlooking Vestdalseyri but in 1894 it was blown over and damaged by a huge storm. The church was rebuilt, this time down on the peninsula and stood there until 1920 when the decision was made to move to its present location in the heart of Seyðisfjörður. In 1989 the Blue Church was damaged by fire when renovation work was being carried out on the building and a pipe organ that was installed in 1987 was ruined by the flames. Today the Blue Church has a pipe organ of the same type as the one that was lost to the fire.

Gartl wasserfall on a rainy day. Near Großkirchheim, National park Hohe Tauern, in the Austrian Alps.
This comprises elements of 4 different brackets (each of 5 exposures, exposure times from 1/5 up to 3s in +1EV increments) - 2 brackets providing focus stacking, and 2 to pull in a little better definition of water (due to wind gust) in a couple of patches, and another to remove water spots from rain, etc which hadn't been removed initially.
The brackets were processed in AuroraHDR, then blended in Photoshop.
I assume I was using a polariser and 3-stop ND filter.
Although it was late summer, I was surprised to note the next morning that while I was out shooting waterfalls, snow was settling on the peaks on all the sides of the enclosed valley I was in.

Skradinski Buk waterfall in Krka national park, Croatia.
This panorama is composed from 25 images (5 brackets of 5 images each). I combined these into an HDR Pano using Lightroom, and processed the resulting RAW file (dng) in AuroraHDR, made some slight adjustments in Luminar, and did some touch up in Photoshop with Lumenzia.
Using bracketing and merging exposures let me deal with the high dynamic range present due to the sunlight directly hitting foliage/water in the scene.

A view looking to the northwest from a parking area around the Piñon Flats Campground area. Given the location of the sun in the skies above, I had to work an angle with this image captured by angling my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward. Anything angled higher would either lead to lens flare across the image or have extremely blown highlights from sun. That would probably one of the reasons why the original image was a little over-exposed with a longer shutter speed. The composition though allowed me to capture a more sweeping view across the desert prairie grass and then have the sand dunes of the national park rise for the focus in the upper portion of the image. For processing this image, I decided to use Aurora HDR Pro and create a TIFF image that would address the large dynamic range of the image and setting. I could then export that to work with DxO PhotoLab 3 and make some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.

Needless to say, walking around the Diablo Lake Vista Point is a sight to take in! Here I was walking from one vista view to many others...more of a slight change in direction/azimuth to a look across Diablo Lake to ridges and mountains of the Eldorado Massif. For this image, I brought in five TIFF images into Aurora HDR Pro and applied a preset I developed for a natural type look for landscape settings. I then export the TIFF image into Capture NX2 and implied some control points, and color control points and some CEP filters for the final image.

They Say It’s the End of the Day,
But it’s really not.
The sun just moves to another place
For someone else to enjoy the colors and lights.
I said goodbye to the evening sun,
So someone else could see and enjoy it.
Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one late afternoon/evening around sunset in Badlands National Park while standing at Pinnacles Overlook. After a day of overcast skies and drizzle, it was a sight to finally see the sun at the end of the day! What a sight! The rest of the story with this image is using an app on my iPhone called PlanIt! Pro to be ready for that one spot for a sunset. I then set up my Nikon D800E on my tripod and used a setup with a CamRanger. I found it easier to compose the image using the regular viewfinder with my SLR camera. I could then use my iPhone to meter and get feedback on what I was attempting to capture. This is the final image with the sun's final light adding a nice glow to a far distant horizon. A nice end to a day...
