This event explored which current growth areas in the digital arena are generating interest with active individual and institutional investors.

Specifically, it promoted discussion and debate amongst investors (Venture Capital & Angel investors), entrepreneurs, and corporates that were seeking to invest financial and other resources in rapidly growing business opportunities in the digital sector.

Attendees benefited through shared learning from experienced investors, entrepreneurs, and corporations in this area and from the opportunity to interact with them during the group discussion and individually during the networking before and after the formal discussion & debate.

With a bit of playing I could have matched the colour temperature of the lighting too. The AR object has a highly detailed texture so that you can get up close and read the handwriting. That’s not something you can do with the real object because of the museum case it’s in.

This experiment is using the Sketchfab app on iOS after scanning and uploading the object.

Will tag this cafe soon and then the app will show that tag as well as the wikipedia info.

This is the product of some testing with AR tags (ARToolkit) read in Quartz Composer and then sent using OSC to Max/MSP. Closer shot, as you can see for the moment the max patch is purely receiving coordinates (x, y, z) of the tag in space.

SHOOT FYI by Ragdoll Twins at Parallel Vienna 2016 - Art-Fair, 21.9. - 26.9. 2016

The augmented reality installation SHOOT FYI playfully points at actual strategies of social media related affairs. Wearing a headmounted system or mobile device one can destroy the wall in front and thus unveil the space behind where virtual deconstructed icons involved in amorous interactions throw their shadows back onto the 3D-environment. The trigger-image correlates to a disastrous wall.

The exhibition’s ‘mixed reality - virtual art - room’ was shared with Norbert Unfug’s ‘Dream Sequence’ (VR-Installation).

SHOOT FYI will be released as soon as possible at Google Play & Apple App Store, so you can trigger a miniature variation of the original life-sized AR-Installation with your own mobile device.

Curated by medien.kunst.tirol, the other two curated rooms showed works by JoechlTragseiler, Nicole Weniger and Florian Hafele.

SCOPE merges the basic characteristics of video games and real-life toys to improve existing games or create new ones. By attributing various virtual parameters commonly used in video games (power, life, magic, experience, attack, weapons, etc.) to tangible toys, it brings the toys to life. With this approach, it is possible to create all sorts of video game concepts mixed with the real world. For example, a child’s bedroom could become a natural battleground for play.
