I just got my breast augmentation last week and I'm healing well..I hoping to get some pix done soon so stand by... Next surgery hopefully after the first of the year...my facial feminization then I'll be complete!!! FYI if you notice the picture just before this is the same top as in this one, and you can obviously see the difference the breast augmentation has made, sort of a before and after shots. Thanks to one very humble friend for gifting me PRO, he is a gentleman and special to me. You know who you are I won’t post your name out of respect wanted to let you know I appreciate it so much, thank you once again 💋

They are coming along.

Update: I will soon be having breast augmentation in the 2019!

A hulking beast, the WXM6 is only to be used by soldiers with appropriate augmentations, such as the BELTFEED forearm (shown) and a support exoskeleton (not shown). Due to extreme rapid fire, the WXM6 is easily able to tear through walls, infantry, and arial units. Armour piercing rounds are available, making short work of tanks and other armoured units as well.

The feathers are for luck.

Approx. 60% of the subject's body was replaced. The new fuel cells are able to power the unit successfully. The Human Augmentation Initiative is proceeding as planned.

A failed Peregrine clutch. Always so disappointing to come across at Peregrine nest sites. This ledge was flooded in heavy rains and without adequate drainage it simply goes pair shaped for them. In recent years we have been trying to help various pairs of Peregrines by making some 'changes' to the ledge in order to afford them better protection from such cases. Unfortunately not all ledges conducive to augmentation though. Hoping for a better result this season.

Earlier this week the local media was waxing lyrical about this year's autumn display; Lakeland in particular.

If, like me, you turned up yesterday (3rd Nov'), this was the order of the day, as wave after wave of sullen drizzle bursts swept the celebrated landscape.

Going monochrome seemed to reflect my feelings for the day (you don't say!); I had no intention of photography in this light but, as the day neared an end, I suddenly thought I'd go back to my black & white roots & attempt something less fanciful; something more truthful maybe.

No doubt the technically unrestrained out there would transform this into something more dynamic; I, for one, am getting more & more fed up with Flickr uploads that attempt to turn our beautiful landscapes into grotesque fantasy lands that simply don't exist in reality. This practise would seem to conclude that what we have scenically is somehow inadequate & therefore requires a level of augmentation that doesn't answer to taste.

The bottom line is that these over-indulgences seemingly attract more attention - & much more so than competent & considered composition does.

But that's another can of worms...

Deforestation in the Amazon, you can clearly see where the rain forest has been removed. Without the trees and their roots erosion and sedimentation pollute the rivers. The Amazon forest has become a visual symbol for Earth's ecological reserves but there is much more to humankind's ecological footprint, from the oceans and fishing to urban infrastructure and agriculture.

The Korean Augmentation to the United States Army (KATUSA) Soldier Program was initiated on 15 July 1950 by an informal agreement between the Honorable Syngman Rhee, President of the ROK, and General of the Army Douglas MacArthur, Commander in Chief, United Nations Command (UNC). The concept of this program originally was to augment the U.S. fighting forces just after the outbreak of the Korean War. After the armistice, KATUSA Soldiers remained with Army in Korea units to receive training that was not readily available in the ROKA and to enhance Army in Korea's mission capability. The KATUSA Soldier Program has been a continuous one since 1950 with only periodic strength adjustments dictated by requirements. Originally, KATUSA Soldiers were returned to the ROKA after serving with the U.S. Army. Since 1968, however, KATUSA Soldiers remain with the U.S. Army until their service commitments are completed. The ROKA Support Group was established on 11 May 1965 at the request of the Commander, Eighth Army, as a ROKA officer liaison group to administer the KATUSA Soldier program. Its name was changed from ROKA Liaison Group to ROKA Support Group in November 1986. On 1 November 1997, the ROKA Support Group was reorganized as a unit directly under Headquarter (HQ), ROKA G2/G3, and was later reorganized on 1 December 2009 directly under HQ, ROK Army’s Personnel Command.

The Mission and Importance of the KATUSA Soldier Program

The mission of the KATUSA Soldier Program is to augment Army in Korea with ROK Army Soldiers in order to increase the ROK/U.S. combined defense capability on the Korean peninsula. The KATUSA Soldier Program is significant not only because of the military manpower and monetary savings that it provides to the U.S. Army, but also because it represents ROK/U.S. cooperation and the combined commitment to deter war. The KATUSA Soldier Program is also symbolic of ROK/U.S. friendship and mutual support.

Responsibilities to the KATUSA Soldier Program

All theater U.S. Army and ROKA personnel have an inherent responsibility to ensure the success of the KATUSA Soldier Program by observing and implementing the policies and procedures contained in Army in Korea Reg 600-2. All personnel, U.S. Army or ROKA, are strongly encouraged to submit suggestions and recommendations that may improve the KATUSA Soldier Program.

Transhumanism (abbreviated as H+ or h+) is an international and intellectual movement that aims to transform the human condition by developing and creating widely available sophisticated technologies to greatly enhance human intellectual, physical, and psychological capacities.Transhumanist thinkers study the potential benefits and dangers of emerging technologies that could overcome fundamental human limitations, as well as the ethics[3] of using such technologies. The most common thesis is that human beings may eventually be able to transform themselves into different beings with abilities so greatly expanded from the natural condition as to merit the label of posthuman beings. The contemporary meaning of the term transhumanism was foreshadowed by one of the first professors of futurology, FM-2030, who taught "new concepts of the human" at The New School in the 1960s, when he began to identify people who adopt technologies, lifestyles and worldviews "transitional" to posthumanity as "transhuman".This hypothesis would lay the intellectual groundwork for the British philosopher Max More to begin articulating the principles of transhumanism as a futurist philosophy in 1990 and organizing in California an intelligentsia that has since grown into the worldwide transhumanist movement.

The year 1990 is seen as a "fundamental shift" in human existence by the transhuman community, as the first gene therapy trial,[8] the first designer babies,[9] as well as the mind-augmenting World Wide Web all emerged in that year. In many ways, one could argue the conditions that will eventually lead to the Singularity were set in place by these events in 1990.[original research?]Influenced by seminal works of science fiction, the transhumanist vision of a transformed future humanity has attracted many supporters and detractors from a wide range of perspectives including philosophy and religion.Transhumanism has been characterized by one critic, Francis Fukuyama, as among the world's most dangerous ideas,to which Ronald Bailey countered that it is rather the "movement that epitomizes the most daring, courageous, imaginative and idealistic aspirations of humanity".

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transhumanism

What does it mean to be human? Biology has a simple answer: If your DNA is consistent with Homo sapiens, you are human — but we all know that humanity is a lot more complex and nuanced than that. Other schools of science might classify humans by their sociological or psychological behavior, but again we know that actually being human is more than just the sum of our thoughts and actions. You can also look at being human as a sliding scale. If you were to build a human from scratch, from the bottom up, at some point you cross the threshold into humanity — if you believe in evolution, at some point we ceased being a great ape and became human. Likewise, if you slowly remove parts from a human, you cross the threshold into inhumanity. Again, though, we run into the same problem: How do we codify, classify, and ratify what actually makes us human?Does adding empathy make us human? Does removing the desire to procreate make us inhuman? If I physically alter my brain to behave in a different, non-standard way, am I still human? If I have all my limbs removed and my head spliced onto a robot, am I still human? (See: Upgrade your ears: Elective auditory implants give you cyborg hearing.) At first glance these questions might sound inflammatory and hyperbolic, or perhaps surreal and sci-fi, but don’t be fooled: In the next decade, given the continued acceleration of computer technology and biomedicine, we will be forced to confront these questions and attempt to find some answers.

Transhumanism is a cultural and intellectual movement that believes we can, and should, improve the human condition through the use of advanced technologies. One of the core concepts in transhumanist thinking is life extension: Through genetic engineering, nanotech, cloning, and other emerging technologies, eternal life may soon be possible. Likewise, transhumanists are interested in the ever-increasing number of technologies that can boost our physical, intellectual, and psychological capabilities beyond what humans are naturally capable of (thus the term transhuman). Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), for example, which speeds up reaction times and learning speed by running a very weak electric current through your brain, has already been used by the US military to train snipers. On the more extreme side, transhumanism deals with the concepts of mind uploading (to a computer), and what happens when we finally craft a computer with greater-than-human intelligence (the technological singularity). (See: How to create a mind, or die trying.Beyond the obvious benefits of eternal life or superhuman strength, transhumanism also investigates the potential dangers and ethical pitfalls of human enhancement. In the case of life extension, if every human on Earth suddenly stopped dying, overpopulation would trigger a very rapid and very dramatic socioeconomic disaster. Unless we stopped giving birth to babies, of course, but that merely rips open another can of worms: Without birth and death, would society and humanity continue to grow and evolve, or would it stagnate, suffocated by the accumulated ego of intellectuals and demagogues who just will not die? Likewise, if only the rich have access to intelligence- and strength-boosting drugs and technologies, what would happen to society? Should everyone have the right to boost their intellect? Would society still operate smoothly if everyone had an IQ of 300 and five doctorate degrees? As you can see, things get complicated quickly when discussing transhumanist ideas — and life extension and augmented intelligence and strength are just the tip of the iceberg! This philosophical and ethical complexity stems from the fact that transhumanism is all about fusing humans with technology — and technology is advancing, improving, and breaking new ground very, very quickly. Humans have always used technology, of course — our ability to use tools and grasp concepts such as science and physics are what set us apart from other animals — but never has society been so intrinsically linked and underpinned by it. As we have seen in just the last few years, with the advent of the smartphone and ubiquitous high-speed mobile networks, just a handful of new technologies now have the power to completely change how we interact with the the world and people around us..Humans, on the other hand, and the civilizations that they build, move relatively slowly. It took us millions of years to discover language, and thousands more to discover medicine and the scientific method. In the few thousand years since, up until the last century or so, we doubled the human life span, but neurology and physiology were impenetrable black boxes. In just the last 100 years, we’ve doubled our life span again, created bionic eyes and powered exoskeletons, begun to understand how the human brain actually works, and started to make serious headway with boosting intellectual and physical prowess. We’ve already mentioned how tDCS is being used to boost cranial capacity, and as we’ve seen in recent years, sportspeople have definitely shown the efficacy of physical doping. An early television: It would've seemed incredibly alien to our grandparentsIt is due to this jarring juxtaposition — the historical slowness of human and societal evolution vs. the breakneck pace of modern technology — that many find transhumanism to be unpalatable. After all, as I’ve described it here, transhumanism is almost the very definition of unnatural. You’re quite within your rights to find transhumanism a bit, well, weird. And it is weird, don’t get me wrong — but so are most emerging technologies. Do you think that your great grandparents weren’t wigged out by the first television sets? Before it garnered the name “television,” one of its inventors gave it the rather spooky name of “distant electric vision.” Can you imagine the wariness in which passengers approached the first steam trains? Vast mechanical beasts that could pull hundreds of tons and moved far faster than the humble — but state-of-the-art — horse and carriage. The uneasiness that surround new, paradigm-shifting technologies isn’t new, and it has only been amplified by the exponential acceleration of technology that has occurred during our lifetime. If you were born 500 years ago, odds are that you wouldn’t experience a single societal-shifting technology in your lifetime — today, a 40 year old will have lived through the creation of the PC, the internet, the smartphone, and brain implants, to name just a few life-changing technologies. It is unsettling, to say the least, to have the rug repeatedly pulled out from under you, especially when it’s your livelihood at stake. Just think about how many industries and jobs have been obliterated or subsumed by the arrival of the digital computer, and it’s easy to see why we’re wary of transhumanist technologies that will change the very fabric of human civilization. The good news, though, is that humans are almost infinitely adaptable. While you or I might balk at the idea of a brain-computer interface that allows us to download our memories to a PC, and perhaps upload new memories a la The Matrix, our children — who can use smartphones at the age of 24 months, and communicate chiefly through digital means — will probably think nothing of it. For the children of tomorrow, living through a series of disruptive technologies that completely change their lives will be the norm. There might still be some resistance when I opt to have my head spliced onto a robotic exoskeleton, but within a generation children will be used to seeing Iron Seb saving people from car crashes and flying alongside airplanes. The fact of the matter is that transhumanism is just a modern term for an age-old phenomenon. We have been augmenting our humanity — our strength, our wisdom, our empathy — with tools since prehistory. We have always been spooked by technologies that seem unnatural or that cause us to act in inhuman ways — it’s simply human nature. That all changes with the children of today, however. To them, anything that isn’t computerized, digital, and touch-enabled seems unnatural. To them, the smartphone is already an extension of the brain; to them, mind uploading, bionic implants and augmentations, and powered exoskeletons will just be par for the course. To them, transhumanism will just seem like natural evolution — and anyone who doesn’t follow suit, just like those fuddy-duddies who still don’t have a smartphone, will seem thoroughly inhuman.

Humanism is a philosophical and ethical stance that emphasizes the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively, and generally prefers critical thinking and evidence (rationalism, empiricism) over acceptance of dogma or superstition. The meaning of the term humanism has fluctuated according to the successive intellectual movements which have identified with it.Generally, however, humanism refers to a perspective that affirms some notion of human freedom and progress. In modern times, humanist movements are typically aligned with secularism, and today humanism typically refers to a non-theistic life stance centred on human agency and looking to science rather than revelation from a supernatural source to understand the world.[

During testing, the stability augmentation system required a lot of fine-tuning. Although the Arrow was not the first aircraft to use such a system, it was one of the first to use a three axes system that other aircraft did not and was consequently problematic. But, this was not the only advanced system developed for the Arrow. Avro’s engineers had created the first non-experimental fly-by-wire control system in an aircraft and a nvaigational computer that used real-time telemetry. The Arrow’s thin wings also nbecessitated the first 4,000 lb/in2 (28 MPa) hydraulic system to supply enough force to the control surfaces using small actuators and piping. The fly-by-wire system used the pilot’s inputs to activate a series of pressure-sensitive transducers in the control stick that sent the signal to an electronic control servo that operated the valves in the hydraulic system to move the various flight controls. This resulted in a lack of control feel so to recreate the mechanical sense, the same electronic control box partly responded to the hydraulic back-pressure fluctuations and triggered actuators in the stick, making it move slightly. Test pilots came to call this “artifical feel” and was an aviation first.

In this image, RL-203 shoots through the skies in southern Ontario. All of the flight tests were conducted at Malton airport. However, on 2 February 1959, a TCA Viscount passenger airplane crash-landed in Toronto, nessistating the test flight be diverted and landing at CFB Trenton. Note the wing fences extending from the dog-tooth to control airflow over the wing. The fences for swept-wing aircraft keep airflow from bleeding to the wingtips and creating a nose-down pitching moment, thus preventing the entire wing from stalling. Soviet aircraft designers employed this technique on several of their aircraft; Western examples are limited.

In the classic gender binary paradigm (you’re either a man, or you’re a woman with no in-between), the mere existence of a transgender, gender variant or gender queer individual falls somewhere between amusing and abhorrent for the traditionalists.

Until very recently, even in our planet’s “most advanced societies”, persons born intersexed (presenting both male and female genitalia) were surgically “fixed” soon after birth in order to fit into society’s prevailing gender and sex stereotypes.

This cultural gender binary creates no small amount of anguish for the transgender. To cope, many (most?) transgender individuals alternatively present themselves as either male or female. In the transgender community, this is known as living “part-time” in one’s identified gender.

I am a part-time transgender individual who gets out in the world both en femme and in male-mode, participates in transgender organizations and has attended transgender conferences. While getting to better know others and myself, I have come to understand many of the motivations and rationales for transgender persons living the “part-time” existence. This blog shares those insights and welcomes comments.

Below is a listing of some factors that can contribute to the decision to present part-time:

Confidence in Appearance – Most all transgender persons desire to appear, sometimes called “to pass”, in a manner consistent with their identified gender. Appearance here relates not only to the visual cues (hair, face, body shape and clothing), but also the aural (voice) quality as well as the movements / mannerisms of the individual.

Much of the stress associated with attaining confidence relates to an individual’s efforts to successfully meet their expectations for appearance as well as the related fear about the reactions from others to being “spotted” or “tagged” in public as being transgender. Living part-time allows a transgendered individual to exercise greater control in choosing those times and locations where they feel more confident appearing in their identified gender.

Compromise with Spouse – For those of the “baby boom” generation, the word “transgender” did not exist in dictionaries during those formative adolescent and young adult years of our lives. We had no language or logical construct to understand or articulate the gender incongruence we experienced. And since gender orientation and sexual orientation are not directly linked, many latently transgendered heterosexuals did get married. Later during those marriages, we came to a greater understanding of our transgender selves.

Most spouses when they married us did not “sign up” for a life with a transgender individual. Obviously, having sexual reassignment surgery can be a deal breaker for many marriages, but in some instances so can living full-time in our identified gender, even without surgery. Living in our identified gender part-time can often be a compromise, arrived at by both marriage partners, in order to save a loving relationship.

Jeopardized Employment – Currently in the United States, there is no nationwide prohibition of workplace discrimination based on gender orientation. A few geographic pockets of cities and states, as well as select corporations, have promulgated equity rights for transgender workers. In many instances, a person can literally jeopardize their occupational livelihood by presenting themselves at work in their identified gender. So, choosing to live “part-time” can be viewed as an act of vital economic survival.

Opinions of Friends / Neighbors – Persons who are out in public part time may still choose venues and activities that make it less likely that they will be seen by certain friends and neighbors. Much of this aversion has to do with a desire to preclude unwanted rumors; avoid making repeated explanations for the change in gender presentation as well as concerns about the future of those relationships when the transgender fact becomes known, essentially “outing” oneself. I have met individuals who only get out in their identified gender during work-related travel or personal vacations. Living full-time in one’s identified gender increases the likelihood of those challenging encounters with friends and neighbors.

Vacillating Intent / Commitment – As already mentioned, going full-time obviously has implications, perhaps irreversible, related to family, employment, as well as relationships with friends and neighbors. As the impacts in those areas may not be easily predicted, such uncertainty can often result in a transgender individual experiencing day-to-day shifts in their assessment about the big decision to lead a full-time life in one’s identified gender. From a risk perspective, this dilemma can result in a person following a cautious logic which purports that once you say “Yes” to going full-time, then you cannot in most cases go back later and say “No”, however, you can say “No” now and that still leaves the option open to say, “Yes” in the future.

Gender Dysphoria vs. Dissociative Identity Disorder – Mentioning this factor may raise some eyebrows! The typical route to sexual reassignment surgery first starts with a visit to a mental health professional (psychologist or psychiatrist) to obtain a diagnosis of gender dysphoria. Obtaining that diagnosis then medically justifies subsequent interventions by an endocrinologist for hormones and a surgeon for procedures such a breast augmentation, facial enhancement and sexual reassignment surgery.

However, a small number of transgender individuals do not have gender dysphoria, but instead have a multiple personality disorder, now more recently termed “dissociative identity disorder” where one of their intact personalities is male and one of their intact personalities is female. These two (minimally) unique personalities exist within the same body / person and the person has no anxiety or distress (dysphoria) associated with either gender. When understood in this manner, what appears to be a part-time transgender individual is actually a transgender individual with dissociative identity disorder that at different times displays an alternate personality associated with a different gender.

Sexual Activity Closely Linked To Gender Identify – Although sexual orientation and gender orientation are separate aspects of our personae, it is no secret that adult transgender people can, and most do, have a sex life. In some instances, transgender individuals can experience significant sexual arousal when presenting in their identified gender. Furthermore, some of those aroused individuals seek most or all of their sexual satisfaction when presenting in their identified gender. Since we can’t have sexual relations all the time, those individuals who primarily “dress” for sex do so on a part-time basis.

In conclusion, several factors do weigh on the minds of transgender individuals when deciding whether or not to present full time in their identified gender. If a person is confident about their appearance or does not care what people say about their presentation; if they have family support; if continued employment is assured and if they are prepared to be “out” regarding their gender status with friends and neighbors, then a clear path appears to exist for living full-time in one’s identified gender.

However, if impediments do exist in those factors of appearance, family, friends and employment, or if other already discussed additional factors influence one’s life, then a transgender individual is most likely to choose the part-time existence.

What other factors have you observed that influence transgender individuals living part-time in their identified gender?

Paris remains the most visited city in the world

Despite the opening of new tourism markets such as Eastern Europe, Russia and China, France is still the country that welcomes more visitors in the world with 78 million visitors in 2006. Paris remains the most visited city in the world. Paris would have received 27 million visitors in 2006. Among these we note a sharp increase in Chinese tourists (10% per year) and Russian as well as a mass return of American tourists.

The reasons for success

The reasons for the success of style come from the accumulation of very attractive architecture and diversified, the Seine and its quays, living space pleasant for both tourists and Parisians for a unique collection of museums and renowned gastronomy .

A strategic position

Paris also has its strategic position at the heart of Europe and the ease with which one can go from Paris to London, Brussels, Madrid, Geneva, or through inter alia the TGV. Eurostar, which links Paris to London saw its attendance grow steadily, with more than 8 million passengers in 2007. Its network enables highly diversified hotel accommodation suited to the budget of visitors, which is far from the case of other European capitals.

The only thing it lacks, perhaps, is the sea, which may explain why the adoption of Parisian Alphonse Allais wanted prolong the Champs Elysees to the sea ...

My submission for biocup 2020! The theme is future for the first round. I believe humans will gradually upgrade their flesh into metal and machinery as we are unable to stave off climate change result in a much harser environment.

"Built for simple human augmentation. It is commonly used in the fields of construction as well as search and rescue."

I must have had this guy on my desk for almost a year. It started as an alt build of 42020, but I added a bit more.

La joie de découvrir une nouvelle augmentation tarifaire...
