The NFSA's collection contains over 38,000 preservation reel to reel and audio cassette tapes.
Shelving in the building where preservation material is housed stands two stories high, with each floor separated by grating to maximise energy efficiency in the building.
Week 4:REMEMBERING WHEN
One of my favorite jobs I ever had was during the mid to late 80s working at Popular Audio. It was like getting paid to hang out and sell amazing stereo equipment. I still have some great Paradigm speakers and subuwoofer but I do regret selling my NAD 7400 and Paradigm Studio Monitors. They were both amazing.

I rock to vintage audio systems. I have a modern day audio system in my car, but home, is entirely different :)
Head Unit: 1977 Sears AM/FM/MPX/Phono/Cassette/8-Track.
Speakers:
(2) 4" midrange paper cone speakers with paper surrounds, made in 1977, original speakers withthe head unit.
(2) Marantz Imperial 5-G floor speakers, wood cabinet, cabinet speakers are composed of (2) 3.5" midrange/tweeters, paper cone, (2) 8" subwoofers, paper cone, with butyl rubber surrounds. Made in 1975. These babies can bump!
Total frequency response: 22,000Hz - 40 Hz :)
